Very good quality, as good or better than it looks. Very smooth,& soft. Beautiful colors. About 34” inches long and 16-20” inches wide not including the legs. I got some fake alligator embossed pleather at the same time for a craft project. & it’s really good for the price. But nothing compares to real hide. Nature just can’t be beat.

I bought 2 hides. They are real goat hide, they come in a little stiff almost like parchment,(first hide shown) but a great fix is to soak/wet the hide and stretch the entire hide by hand till dry if you want a more cloth like feel(second hide) If you're worried about water damage or just want it to last longer, I’d recommend re-tanning the hide with egg yolks or a bark solution, tutorials online(: Using this to make a fur “coat” of sorts.

No complaints for the price. The hide is thin though and almost paper thin. So thin, there is a hole in one area that probably happened during prep and cleaning. No chemical smells. It actually smells really good like shampoo. The hair is sparse in places but still not complaining. Keep this in mind if you need the whole thing for a specific purpose or project. Feeling a bit guilty but I did this to myself when I decided to fold it in half and wonder how big the goat was. From the pictures, it is clear to see it is almost the full hide. I've added a comparison photo laid next to a vintage quality sheepskin. Bargain for the price but I probably won't buy again and continue to look for secondhand hides due to Amazon's shady marketplace. I can never truly know the ethics on here. A bit hypocritically, I do enjoy quality materials. Fur, leather should last a lifetime or more if taken care of and respected.

If I’d paid attention to how small they are— assuming they are from baby goats, I wouldn’t have bought them.

This is gorgeous! Reading the description, I had anticipated that this would be a 16x20 piece. It’s a full hide exactly as pictured but BETTER! To give a better idea of the size, the pictures are across the width of a twin bed. It’s definitely worth the price and I will be purchasing more! The picture and description are very understated. It’s rich in texture and absolutely perfect!

Strong chemical odor. Tight packaging left creases and matted fur. Light wash in warm water and mild detergent. Ran through rinse cycle several times. Dried with no heat. Still has slight odor but not as bad. Fur fluffed and no creases. May repeat with odor repelling detergent and dry with drier sheets.

The picture is an illusion because it looks like it’s big, but it actually is about the size of a table mat very disappointed
