The book was easy to read and understand. This book was bought for a criminal justice class and it was true to the lecture although many times I just wish the book was more detailed. Would I recommend this book? Honestly, for being my first criminal justice book, I would.

This book gives you a great look at the American correctional system as it pertains to society today. I am a college student and needed this book for class...it was easy to read and the students (even those who hated class) found this textbook interesting.

Purchased this book to enhance my Criminal Justice library. I am preparing to be an adjunct in CJ and wanted to have more books at my disposal for research and offering the students advice in the field.
