I needed to replace the plug on my expensive Dualit toaster. I only needed one, but had to order two. No big deal at this price and it worked great. One thing to consider is that the cord is not held tightly by the outer casing, so if you unplug it by pulling on the cord instead of the plug, you could pull the cord loose from the screws. Fortunately, the screws can be made pretty tight and the shape of the plug itself makes it easy to grasp and pull without pulling on the cord. I noticed there are some plugs that grasp the cord more securely and if you have people unplugging by pulling on the cord frequently instead of the plug, you might consider one. I'm very happy I repaired it so cheaply.

I bought a 100' Amazon Extension cord and this 120vac plug ends. I'm tough on cords in my shop so being able to make custom length replacement cords is a BONUS. A bit "fiddly" in the connectors, but take your time, strip back the right about of bare wire and it's pretty easy.

The leviton brand is MUCH better quality, but it's hard to get the male ends sometimes. These really aren't that bad, but it's a PITA to get 16ga in there if you use the hooks to secure it (something I don't think hardly anyone reviewing actually understood that that's what the hooks are for). It's possible, but you'll definitely be fighting it. 18ga would be a lot easier. The contacts on the female end fall out pretty easily while you're trying to put wire in, but honestly I see that as a good thing. It makes it so much easier to work with if you install the wire with the contacts out then wiggle them back into place. Once it's all back together it's not an issue, nothing rattles around or moves. I also hope that people know and understand that these are NOT for heavy duty use. 16ag is the largest rated wire and you shouldn't be using 16ga on anything that pulls a lot of power unless you like fires. extension cords aren't "one size fits all".

There are no plates to hold the wire and the screw head is not sufficient. I tried using terminal ends but it won't go together. I tried using small washers to create a "plate" but the screw isn't long enough for the washer and the wire. I'm way past return time so throwing in the trash.

I find that over time, the ground pins on three pin plugs break. I decided the time had come to replace several as well as some female plugs where the covers were fraying. I purchased the dozen and have used more than half so far. The process is simple and the plugs appear to be a good quality. My only issue is that the wire can sit loosely in the plug hole, not a good thing if water/moisture is present. I will be caulking the holes but including a small tube of black caulking or silicon would be nice.

Excellent ends for electrical cord use.
