Exceptional Tone and Long-Lasting Performance!
These D’Addario XS Phosphor Bronze strings have completely won me over. Right out of the package, they felt smooth and played beautifully. The tone is warm and balanced—perfect for everything from fingerstyle to strumming. What really impressed me is how long they last. The ultra-thin coating protects without dulling the sound, and after weeks of regular playing, there's no fraying or loss of tone. Plus, they stay in tune exceptionally well thanks to the NY Steel core and Fusion Twist tech. The resealable packaging is a nice touch, and the Players Circle points are an incredible bonus. Made in the USA and clearly made with care—I'll definitely be sticking with these!

Great feel and sound!
Love these strings! Although they are more expensive than the non coated strings, they sound great, last quite a long time comparatively, and have a great feel. The coating allows you to slide seamlessly on the strings and make my fingers less fatigued over hours of playing. They hold their tune very well. For the gauge of the strings, they allow me to have a low action without any fret buzz. I would highly recommend.

Bright tones
I recently switched to the D'Addario XS Phosphor Bronze Coated Acoustic Guitar Strings (Extra Light, 10-47), and they have completely transformed my playing experience. Here’s my detailed review: **Tone Quality:** The tone of these strings is nothing short of exceptional. The phosphor bronze material delivers a warm, rich, and well-rounded sound that’s perfect for fingerpicking and strumming. Despite being coated strings, they maintain a bright, clear tone without sounding muted, which is often an issue with coated alternatives. **Feel & Playability:** The XS coating provides an ultra-smooth feel that makes playing incredibly comfortable. Sliding between chords and frets feels effortless, and the light gauge (10-47) reduces finger fatigue, making it an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced players who prefer a softer touch. **Durability & Lifespan:** What really sets these strings apart is their longevity. The advanced coating technology protects the strings from corrosion and dirt buildup, which extends their life significantly. Even after weeks of regular playing, they still sound and feel fresh. This durability makes them a fantastic value for the price. **Tuning Stability:** These strings hold their tuning remarkably well. After a short break-in period, they remain stable even with aggressive playing or frequent tuning adjustments. This reliability is crucial for live performances and recording sessions. **Overall Impressions:** The **D'Addario XS Phosphor Bronze Coated Strings** combine superior tone, playability, and longevity into one outstanding product. Whether you’re a gigging musician, a casual player, or someone who just wants a great acoustic sound without frequent string changes, these strings are worth every penny. **Rating: 5/5** Smooth, long-lasting, and sonically impressive – these are my go-to acoustic guitar strings from now on!

BEST acoustic guitar strings
I've been playing acoustic guitar for twenty years. I've tried every string I could get my hands on. I usually gravitate toward D'Addario strings. Their standard phosphor bronze strings are what I typically use. The last time I restrung my guitar, I purchased Ernie Ball Earthwood strings at the recommendation of my local music store. I HATED them. From the moment I put them on, my guitar sounded so dead and lifeless. It was like I had put six month old, tarnished strings onto my guitar. Everything was so dull and muted. Cue the D'Addario coated phosphor bronze strings. After that terrible experience, I decided to splurge and buy some "expensive" strings. I knew I liked D'Addario, so I figured I'd like expensive D'Addario too. I had high expectations and I was still blown away by these strings. Night and day compared to the Earthwood strings. My guitar was load and bright and sang so beautifully. From the very first moment I strung them onto my guitar, before it was even tuned, I knew. These were the strings for me. They sound just as good, if not better than the standard D'Addario phosphor bronze strings, but the coating makes them so much more playable. String noise is greatly reduced. The strings are so smooth that my fingers glide up and down the fretboard effortlessly. They've been on my guitar for a few weeks now, and they still look and play like they're brand new. No hint of tarnish anywhere on the strings. At over double the price of the standard phosphor bronze strings, I don't think these would be more cost effective. I don't think I'll get over double the life out of these over a standard set of strings, but the added playability and longevity more than makes up for the price difference to me. I'll probably use these strings for the rest of my life.

I like D'Addario stings for my particular instrument.
Good sound, not too heavy on the coating, long lasting. I use the phosphor bronze. I used to use Elixirs and they are good strings but on the particular higher end acoustic I'm using, I tried a set of the Elixirs and honestly these D'Addario strings sounded much better, crisper, not squeaky and they last a good long time.

Sound Great
These are the strings that are now recommended by Taylor to put on their acoustic guitars so I bought a set. They are light gauge but sound like medium gauge. My Taylor has never sounded better to me. They are easy to play and I assume it is the coating on the strings. I feel that Taylor made a good choice going with these strings as the sound is pure magic.

I love these strings! They sound so beautiful to me, the crisp sound just doesn't seem to fade and I play hours daily. They're strong and I've only broken two strings in years, but that was my fault messing around with too many different tuning in such a short period of time, I also don't have the highest quality acoustic guitar with top of the line tuning pegs. Another nice bonus is the Player's Circle Points. They have a code on the packaging you enter into D'Addario's website and after a redeeming the codes on a few sets, you can can get free products. You still have to buy a bit before but I'm not going to turn down a free set of strings or a capo or whatever anytime soon. People complain about the price a lot but in my opinion they're worth it. A 3 pack lasted me over 6 months of daily use. Take from that what you will lol Shipped basically in record time as well.

I have used many, many different brands of strings over the years and I really feel as though I have found the 'Holy Grail' with these ones. I believe Taylor put them on all of their new guitars as standard now, and I can completely understand why. They last FOR AGES! I play the life out of my guitar and I haven't seen any tarnishing at all. They take no time at all to 'bed in' and stay in tune well. Very easy strings to play, not too hard on the ol' fingers. Value for money as well due to the quality being so high. I genuinely believe if you fitted these to a mediocre or low end guitar, you would improve the sound quality drastically. They have such good tone and really bring my guitar to life.
