Are there batteries in this? If so, how do you change them? We received as a gift for our son and he’s upset the sounds stopped.

Oh no.. not sure. The sounds been working for 2 years for us though my son just plays with it sporadically.

If I wanted could I take off the bridal

It doesn’t come on and off but you’d be able to remove by cutting without hurting the horse head; and I’m sure it would look fine.
