AN OFFER FROM A GENTLEMAN (NETFLIX TIE-IN): BRIDGERTONS BOOK 3 : Quinn, Julia: desertcart.in: Books Review: #Benophie has my heart - An Offer From a Gentleman is the third book in the Bridgerton series, and it has officially become my favorite! Benedict Bridgerton’s story is everything I hoped for—romantic, emotional, and utterly captivating. I first fell in love with Bridgerton through the show, and that’s what led me to pick up the books. Now, after reading the first three and watching the first three seasons, I completely understand the hype around Season 4! Benedict’s story stands out, and I can already tell—it might just be the best adaptation yet! 💖 What I Loved: ✅ Benedict & Sophie – Their characters are beautifully written, and I felt the strongest emotional connection to this book compared to the first two. ✅ Forbidden Love & Pining – The tension, the longing—it was so well done! ✅ Lady Whistledown’s Snippets – One of my favorite parts of the series, and the anticipation of her reveal adds an extra thrill! ✅ More Than Just a Cinderella Story – I expected a simple retelling, but this book surprised me in the best way! ✅ Perfect Pacing – Unlike the first two books, this one felt much faster and more engaging from start to finish. ✅ Benedict vs. Anthony? – I never thought anyone could challenge Anthony as my favorite Bridgerton, but after the show airs, Benedict just might! Also, for those missing Daphne, there's a lovely little glimpse of her that made me smile! 🔥 Tropes You'll Love: 💘 Forbidden Romance 💘 Secret Identity 💘 Regency Romance 💘 Cinderella Retelling 💘 Witty Banter 💘 Fiery Chemistry 💘 Social Class Disparity If you’re a Bridgerton fan, this book is a must-read! I’m beyond excited to see Benedict’s story unfold in Season 4! Review: Perfect third book from the series - loved it. - Third from the series and I must say that I am totally hooked to Julia Quinn’s characters and her story telling. Undoubtedly she is the best thing which happened to us readers from the current crop of writers when it comes to regency romance. My favorite from that genre will always be Georgette Heyer but Julia is more modern and pretty lighter take on the same stories so far. This one is based on the second eldest son of Bridgerton family with seven siblings two of whom are already married, I believe every book gets one of these kids married in the story as that is what the Lady Bridgerton’s life motto is. Totally a Cinderella story in the making but in a new way, which kept me excited throughout the narration waiting with bated breath as what will happen next. How will prince charming in this case Viscountes younger brother will find her dream girl who vanishes without trace after their first meeting. If I had to pick a favorite from eight Bridgerton kids, my favorite will be Eloise followed by Anthony, but after this book, Benedict has certainly climbed up my ratings by leaps and bounds. Initially when I started reading the much loved series after finishing it’s Television adaptation (which I severly hated), I thought may be a book or two will work for me at best but never imagined that it will be so fantastic to read back to back three have turned out to be surprisingly great. Looking forward to the fourth one from the series after a short break and not at all looking forward to its adaptation which is right round the corner I believe. Do let me know if you have read this one or if you have a personal favorite from the series, I will definitely get there if it isn’t from the first three books for sure.

Quite decent
Don't know why Netflix ruined Benedict story. This had potential for a good screen drama.

Benedict and Sophia's story brings in more drama than ever to this world.
Mr. Benedict Bridgerton, always the number two; present but not really. Not until he encounters the lady in silver on a masquerade night. He's fascinated by her mystery and drinking in her joy. Afloat in the magical night, their closeness and conversation drowning them in each other. However, same as every night, this one ends too. It brings more questions for Benedict but nary any answers. Miss Sophie Beckett -- wronged by life, wronged by society. That night, her only reprieve where she met the man of her dreams; only to be kept at a distance. Tormented by her step-family & reduced to a life worse than a maid's, Sophie grudgingly distances herself away in the countryside, relying on the skills her life has taught her. This time, Benedict meets Sophie, the housemaid. The housemaid with whom conversation flows, with whom even silence is bliss, under whose gaze he feels seen for the very first time -- or is it the first time? He's drawn to Sophie but, pulled back by the woman in silver. Or will it be too late once he learns he's pining over the same woman two times over! Benedict and Sophia's story brings in more drama than ever to this world. You agree with them both and remain furious with the situation which is pulling them apart. The book is filled with longing, joy, quiet comfort, raging passion, silent meddlings, calming compassions and overdue acceptance.

Truly marvelous
I feel out of my place to review such a beautiful piece of art ... The way the author painted or crafted this whole Bridgerton series is truly marvelous . I'm na exactly a fan of romance genre entirely but these books ,they are something otherworldly... Maybe I'm a bit biased towards Benedict that's why the books feels on a whole new level maybe 😅 .. Also it starts with classic periodical "bastard child" being treated harshly by step mom ... Then the ball arrives classic cindrella .. but here she might not have "woobidi woo" magic but still it wasn't any less than that ... I kept having wave 🌊 of goosebumps all-over me . The book is a marvelous creation of historic background, and it's high society , culture , and especially the Bridgerton's ❤️... Takes you on a magical ride to a certain period of time.
