light enough frame to pick up and move around plus a good range of gears to get you around the local terrain whether that is in the city or hills. The disc brakes are a great addition for stopping power.

To be honest I wasn't expecting the best quality bike for the price, although I have been pleasantly surprised so far, despite a few niggles. I'll start with the niggles first. 1) As a short arse I have to have the seat fairly low, consequently the rear mudguard won't fit on the seat pole and there is nowhere else to fit it with the fittings you receive. 2) Even if I could have fitted the rear mudguard, I couldn't because the bracket was broken. (Haven't returned as though was going to be too much hassle) 3) The gears keep crashing and throwing the chain in the high setting and despite adjusting the derailleur it doesn't seem to make any difference 4) The peddles are cheap and nasty all plastic - will need to change these to a decent pair of metal ones with a metal thread before I'm happy to go any difference off-road 5) The front disk break will not adjust and pinches the pad so squeaks like mad when riding. 6) The seat twists when riding as the quick release will not hold it unless you tighten so much it's no longer quick release. Other than that, which seems like a huge list of problems, it's perfect for my needs which is just leisure riding. It comes with everything you need, tools (although used my own to assemble), tool bag, lights with batteries, Shimano gear set, mudguards, a comfortable seat and handle bars and front shocks. The niggles are easily resolved to be honest and I'd recommend to anyone looking for a cheap bike with no too high expectations. If I was going to take up mountain biking more seriously I'd invest in something half decent for much more money so can't complain.

I was impressed with how nice the bike looked however, it arrived with a buckled wheel... Needing the bike desperately, I fixed this. Within a few weeks later, the chain snapped whilst I was on the way to work... Not good at all. Back tyre completely bald within 6 weeks of use. 6 months later on the way to work, the seat broke, I must add I am a slim man, not heavy. I've attatched pics of the seat. The seller is not helpful, says warranty is amazons 30 day purchase, even insisted that the bike had not been well maintained from the pics I've uploaded, which don't even show the bike. He obviously doesn't know or comply with the UK Warrenty law. These bikes need taken of shelf before someone is seriously hurt, not fit for purpose, the bike is made with low quality parts. Do not buy!

After scouring every bike that's on offer at Amazon, this one seemed like the best bet in this price range. Thankfully, the bike met all of my expectations - it looks awesome, handles rough terrain well and wasn't difficult to assemble. I will admit I had to slightly tune the disk brakes on the front wheel as there was some slight scraping initially, but that only takes a few minutes and loosening a screw or two (there's plenty of videos on youtube). As a final note, the handlebar on my bike is actually straighter the one shown in the pictures, which is actually a good thing as it gives you more space for mounting accessories on it.
