I believe it's a nice system to install for the newbies, all the need is the ability to follow instructions. However I NEED some help with an issue. I was installing a door lock/unlock switch and accidentally caused the lock output ,unlock output and the 12V wire in between to touch, and since then there is no unlock signal coming from the main unit. All actuators, wire connections, and relays are fine. Everything else works fine and the system disarms perfectly, but there is no unlock signal coming from the main unit even though there is current in the unlock output wire. HELP PLEASE!!! THANKS. Review: This kit needs a relay for the door locks to work!!!! - The alarm was an easy install ones I got my car wiring color code diagram for my truck. The Alarm it’s self is great. it says this kit is a Complete Security System. that's not true if you want to install the door lock Actuators. This kit is missing a relay for the door actuators to work. If this kit came with the relay, the kit would be complete. I called scytek complaining why didn’t the doors work. They told me I need a relay so I bought a plug and play relay directly from them and installed it. Now the doors lock and unlock great. I would have given this a five star rating but because of the relay I gave it four stars. Whoever is selling this alarm should add the relay to the kit and up the price of the kit. The relay cost is about $7 + shipping form scytek. I paid $10 and got it in a few days.
