Does its job.
I got this to remove chlorine in a chlorine injected water system. Tests show zero chlorine post filter and I haven't had any noticeable reduction in pressure or flow. Had this for a couple years now without any problems.

Outstanding filter
This helped us go from replacing our three twenty inch filters every week to once a year. Our well water was drastically improved. Staining is a thing of the past.

Took the ferrous iron out of my well water..Easy to install and set up with the instructions sent by the company. They were very helpful when I called with a question. One of the best things I have ever purchased!

Amazing carbon filter!
This filter is awesome! It completely removes all chlorine from my city water supply. The pressure drop is not noticeable, maybe only a couple psi. It came in Black color, not cream like pictured, but that doesn't matter to me.The valve works great. I only wish the tank was an UPFLOW design, to prevent the need for an electric valve, and backwashing. Since this is a DOWNFLOW tank design, the resin needs to be backwashed every 1-2 weeks because the carbon media gets compacted down at the bottom of the tank over time from the downward water pressure, which can lead to channeling and inefficient filtration. To remedy this, it includes a programmable valve that initiates backwashing, which means a little water is wasted each time it backwashes. An upflow tank has no need for the programmable valve, since it never needs backwashing, and therefore would theoretically last longer as there are less moving parts and no electronic parts.Regardless, I'm fully satisfied with my whole house carbon filter system! The price is very competitive at $465 shipped.
