PRODUTO: Eu comprei o "LaCie Rugged (Robusto) SSD Externo” de 2TB (STHR2000800). O produto é uma fofura, super pequeno e do tamanho da palma da mão (e não é o "Mini Robusto"). Pena que a porta de saída USB-C (lugar onde conecta o cabo que vem junto) do SSD externo não tenha uma tampa de proteção. O que é estranho, pois a LaCie afirma que esse SSD tem o IP67 de segurança, mas com a saída USB-C sem nenhuma vedação, recebe poeira e, se for o caso, água também. Então, não entendo esse selo da LaCie, se é seguro realmente. Bom, eu que não vou correr o risco de testar. Mas a LaCie pecou muito nisso porque recebe sim poeira. O cabo é bom e espesso, o que evita quebra ou rompimento fácil, demonstrando nenhuma fragilidade. O produto em si parece ser bom e não parece apresentar defeitos, mas só com o uso que eu poderei saber e ter certeza, pois eu ainda não efetuei a instalação para usá-lo. Mas ele abriu normalmente no meu computador (Windows 10) para fazer a instalação. AMAZON: A entrega foi super rápida, bem antes do prazo. EMPRESA VENDEDORA (RHA TECH): A empresa que me vendeu o "Rugged SSD Externo" de 2TB da LaCie é séria e comprometida em atender o cliente de forma rápida, ágil e eficaz. O atendimento foi excelente, inclusive o vendedor foi muito rápido e eficiente em me auxiliar. A empresa cumpre com o que promete e atende a todas as especificações do produto anunciado. I purchased this disk as I needed to move 1.4Tb of data from a 2011 iMac to my new iMac for 2019. After trying to use Migration Assistant (even with a Thunderbolt cable) it failed to move all the data and was frustratingly slow. I was able to move my photo and music collection in hours rather than days. I am not keen on the design, the orange bumper is to garish for me, however, the claim is that it does protect the disk and also that it provides a degree of weather proofing. I was impressed with the cables - built in Thunderbolt 1 & 2, with a connection for Thunderbolt 3/USBc and a spare leat for USB 3 as well as the thunderbolt 3 cable. I marked it down for portability as it is quite bulky and heavy. For me, if you are doing lots of photography with big images or movie files on the go - you need an SSD so that you can edit on the go, This disk is too slow for that purpose. It is overall though a great storage device and comes with software to make it Time machine compatible.

Ask any professional photographer, one of your biggest fears is memory card failure, loss or theft. The LaCie Boss fives me a quick and safe way to copy all my files immediately to a secure SSD drive at any time at a shoot. I also, with the attached cable system, use the LaCie to do quick edits on my iPad and watch movies during long flights.

I’m a professional photographer and videographer. Some of my work tasks require extremely fast memory devices to avoid overusing my desktop’s internal memory storage, keep data portable for remote locations, or handle specific projects. I tried a few different brands and models, but I wasn’t happy with them at all. However, this unit is just awesome! It works as fast as internal memory, is reliable, built like a tank, has never failed, and always performs at the top level. I’m very happy with it and plan to buy another one with a higher capacity.

It has a nice weight to it, and it feels like it is built like a little tank💪🏻 I Love all the benefits offered with these things: it comes with an app called “Toolkit” or something that automatically unlocks it when I connect it to my Mac! I love all of the Seagate protection offered if I need them to recover any lost data off of my drive. It came with a free subscription to the Adobe Creative Cloud (VERY EPOCH AND HELPFUL BONUS). Also, it appears that the CIA trusts this (I’ve seen video of a former CIA operative using one of these)! It is VERY secure! I actually partitioned mine to have abt 180gb’s dedicated to the MIRROR file with Seagate. The MIRROR option keeps a folder on my Mac; and, when I change things in that folder, it updates the mirrored folder on my drive automatically when I plug it back in. The remaining storage I partioned for TimeMachine on my Mac... So, I (effectively) have 2 drives on my Mac. Therefore, I automatically keep my primary files continuously updated and etc. on MIRROR while I keep everything backed up in the TimeMachine Partition.... It has def come in handy. If you end up doing something like that, though, you need to remember to eject the drive on the the Toolkit app, first... Then, maybe, eject the drives off of your desktop (force eject [if necessary]), then open the “Disk Utility” app. Once you do that, eject the “Lacie (whatever)...” drive there... Then, feel free to unplug once the light is off on your drive. And, yeah, it’s def MUCH FASTER than any HDD! I, personally, LOVE SSD! Very solid and silent design. Zero moving parts👍🏻 I love it. Thank God for this awesome product
