But all is not lost. Despite several claims that the batteries can not be removed to be replaced, that they're soldered into place. Wasn't true in my case and hopefully isn't true for you either. (pictures included) There are tabs to the sides of the battery housings. Carefully lift them. I held down the top of the battery housings so I wouldn't accidentally rip them off the board, and used a small flat head screwdriver to lift the tabs. Needle-nose pliers would probably work better, but I had the screwdriver handy. Once you have lifted the tabs, push the battery from the opposite end of the opening and they should slide right out. The battery that's located right next to the speaker, will need to be slid out at an angle, but there should be enough clearance. Next! You'll need new batteries! Three LR1130 batteries, to be precise. I ordered mine right here from desertcart, they're pretty cheap. Once you have those, just slide them into place, close the tabs, and make sure you're in a well lit room. The audio device is light activated. Great quality, excellent product for fans of Zelda
The one I received does not have the sound like the previous versions but the books are very nice hardbacks, the chest is also nice it came in great condition, although it seems expensive i feel it was worth the money and i am happy with my purchase.
