Description

Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) is sentenced to two consecutive life terms in prison for the murders of his wife and her lover and is sentenced to a tough prison. The Shawshank Redemption

This movie was adapted by the Stephen King novel “Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption.” It focuses on the main character, Andrew Defresne, a prominent banker in Maine who was convicted of murdering his wife, and her lover, a golf pro. Defresne is in fact innocent of the crime, but was sentenced to serve two consecutive life terms. Defresne meets “Red”, a convict who is able to get goods smuggled in to Shawshank for other prisoners. This is a great movie to watch.

one of my favorite movies

I received this item in fine condition, in the time advised. I have no issues with my order. Most of this movie was filmed in and around Mansfield Ohio and they offer tours, etc. This is one of my favorite movies and being able to visit some of the filming areas make it even more special. Though somewhat different than the Stephen King story, I think it's very well done. Frank Darabont did a wonderful job.

A CLASSIC MUST SEE

i HAVE A 35 year old son who still says this is his favorite movie ever. Released in 1995Tim Robins, Morgan Freeman can acting get any better?? And what a beautiful trusting friendship is developed.There are a couple of some rough violent scenes but after all, this takes place in a prison.I think they worked hard not to make it about violence but about corruption in the prison system of the day.Well written, excellent acting, great character development, amazing plot. Stunning fingernail-biting, redemptive, victorious, uplifting ending.

I've seen this movie several times. There is an intern that I work with that has never saw this movie (I believe that the movie is older than he is.) So as a homework assignment, I bought this movie and had him watch it :) That's how good it is!!

I love love love this movie! I recently took my son to tour the prison in Mansfield, OH, where this was filmed; he had to have his own copy of the movie!
