HERO

Maren Morris is a new artist to me and I am so happy to have stumbled across her music because she is wonderful. This album is terrific.

Good music...love her voice

Maren Morris' "Hero" may be shamelessly commercial, but there's so much ear candy that it's quite satisfying for someone with a musical sweet tooth. "My Church" jumps out and grabs you by the collar and reels you in with its hooks and Morris' vocals expressive and joyful, "I find my soul revival singing every single verse, yeah I guess that's my church." "I Could Use A Love Song" sounds more country than most of the tracks on the set and laces a pretty melody as Morris plays the disappointed lover, "It takes me back just like that when it comes on to a time when I wouldn't roll my eyes at a guy and a girl make it work in the world." "80s Mercedes" charms me completely with its throbbing country-rap beat that breaks into a fully hooked chorus, "Pop the top down like a summer dream; She's my teenage time machine." "Drunk Girls Don't Cry" has a trailer-park romance appeal, "If it was the first time, I would understand; but it's the third time he got a second chance." "Just Another Thing" rivets me with its bounce-beat and boy-shout chorus, "Add your name to the list of all the things I can't seem to kick." "Hero" is a career-making CD, well worth discovering. Awesome. Overused word for the most part, awesome is, but in this case, it is the right one. Perfect record, really. These are all great songs. My favorites are "My Church", "Drunk Girls Don't Cry" and "80s Mercedes", but they are all very good. But if you're looking for a "country" record, this is not it. But if you're looking for a record with tremendous music with fantastic vocals, this is exactly what you need. Undefinable as far as categories go. I would personally call it Jazzy Pop-Country, but that's me. Maren's voice is sultry and smoky, but then turns on a dime and becomes honest and alto. The lyrics on the songs are well thought out. Most of the songs are truly upbeat songs and almost all of them have catchy grooves to them, like "Sugar". This is a record I am happy to have spent my money on. It's worth it and then some. Really great record.

Love this album (as well as her others) and I'm not even a fan of country. However Maren Morris has been the exception for me so far. I just really love her voice and style of music. So much so that I have all her albums on both CD and Vinyl. I've only done that with a few artists so far and never thought I'd do that for a Country artist. Standout track for me is Rich. It's just a really fun track.

The music is very good even terrific on a few tracks! I've watched or listened to most of the tunes. There is some inconsistency in the quality of the sound. She's country and a bit of a country pop singer. She'll need better material to sing and some of the tracks instrumentation over powers the vocals. None the less she's very talented, a very promising talent. The autographed copy I got was great and I won't open it. The jewel case arrived badly cracked, which is happening more and more with the cheap packaging Amazon ships a single CD in. If it wasn't for the autograph I would have returned it.

I've got a "girl crush" on Maren Morris! Although my first exposure to her music was "My Church," which has been on country music stations for a while now, I've found so much more to like about this CD. In "I Could Use a Love Song" her bluesy voice is displayed to perfection, and the lyrics will speak to anyone who is feeling a bit jaded by their current relationship status. "Drunk Girls Don't Cry" puts it all in perspective for those ladies who hope to redeem a relationship that isn't worth the effort. "I Wish I Was" is one of those tunes that makes you think about that one guy-friend that you WISH you could be IN love with, rather than just loving. And "80's Mercedes" is one of those toe tapping, sing along fun songs that just puts a smile on your face! If you love Meghan Trainor, you will love Maren Morris.

This is by far the most re-playable record I have ever listened too. I liked the song My Church but never really looked for the record but randomly I decided to take a look on Amazon and I listened to the previews and they all sounded awesome so I bought the CD for my car and Vinyl for at home and I have probably listed to the CD all the way through at least 15 times by now and it is great every time. Sometimes I will turn the radio on to hear new songs and they just play the same junk songs I don't like over and over so I go back to the CD every time. She has some classic country songs as well as pop country songs on here so there are multiple types of music fans I would recommend this too.

Un CD très abouti et bien diversifié que vous pouvez écouter en boucle sans vous lasser. Peu de choses à jeter dans la mesure où les compositeurs n'ont pas confondu, comme l'auraient fait ceux de Carrie Underwood, puissance et "boucan d'enfer". C'est tout le charme de cet album d'avoir su mêler la délicatesse et le dynamisme dans un même cocktail. On est plutôt dans un style pop que country, même si l'on sent bien d'où est issue l'inspiration. Beaucoup de relief donc et une absence totale de platitude. Superbe !

I absolutely love this album! Ironic considering her songs bugged me on the radio for being played so much. But I listened to the whole thing a few times on Spotify and just had to have it! And I'm not a country fan. The product itself arrived in perfect condition - no cracked case - and still sealed (it was actually hard to open! Haha). Definitely recommend the album and that you buy it here.

Vou manter o disco, pois está tocando bem ainda, mas foi bem decepcionante receber um produto usado, com a capa toda gasta e amassada. O álbum sem dúvidas é 5 estrelas! Maren fez um disco de estreia espetacular.
