These were intended as a stocking stuffer for my son and his wife, who, we only just discovered, do not own serving pieces. Oh the horror of turning up at our Thanksgiving feast with a plastic and metal cooking utensil in the green bean casserole!! I really only wanted to give them two serving spoons as a sly wink, but an hours long descent into the depths of Amazon convinced me that I needed three times that number and that I was a damned fool to pay more per piece for "quality" parsed as weight. Eventually, I decided on this set, which got good reviews and has an innocuous, modernish look. They arrived looking just as I hoped they would - a generous size, and a sleek design that goes with any table setting. Although many reviewers had mentioned that they are heavy, I was not prepared for just how heavy they are. Each piece has a reasonable heft, but together they weigh an alarming 1.75 lb!! The number and weight of the pieces has changed this slightly ironic mother in law gift into something critical of their entertainment abilities and demanding of their kitchen space and gratitude. So I am sending them back and paying more for fewer, less judgmental spoons. Although they did not fit my criteria, these are exceptional serving pieces. Both design and quality should last a lifetime.

This set of serving tools is so beautiful! It is a lovely heft and feels very good in the hand. Honestly, I think these are the quality of Pottery Barn or Crate & Barrel back in the 90s--top quality, but surprisingly inexpensive! I bought these to use during my daughter's wedding reception (giving them to her as a wedding gift afterwards) and was so impressed we got some for ourselves! Since then this is my go-to wedding gift for young couples. We don't have a lot of money to spend on each couple, since we are in a church that has a lot of young people getting married! But this is something they will most likely use and appreciate for many years to come. : )

They are perfect! They have a wonderful weight to them and do not feel like cheap metal! These will last you a long time without any future regrets!

Good Quality, very heavy. I love the look of them, they are beautiful. The only thing I can say bad about them is that they don't go with my dishes at all. I would love to get the entire set. I may have to replace my dishes 😁

i never realized how flimsy most flatware is until I got these spoons. They are well designed and have the feel of spoons meant to last for many years!
