Good tool for making bracelets, but the inner tube could be a little bigger in diameter to accommodate other needles.

This was purchased as a Christmas gift for my son. When it arrives I was impressed with just how beautifully made it is. Value for the money is perfect. 100% happy with this purchase.

This tool is everything I've hoped for! It is very functional and sturdy and will lay a nice pattern on your melted Paracord ends. It is very smooth and "sharp" so it will get between any knot you've made. Looking forward to using this for awhile!

Spike is quite nice but paracord fid is way too small. It wont fit any of my paracords.

Hefty, very nice to work with

The knurling is perfect for finishing melted ends for a more pro look. The aluminum Merlinspike itself is sturdy and should last a long time.

I was very excited to order and receive this item, however my excitement soon turned to disappointment. This Knotters Tool arrived with tons of scratches and nicks in the probe part of the tool, the most important part of the tool that should be smooth and scratch free. It looks like it has been used for several months and banged around in someones toolbox! Now I am afraid this will snag on every paracord and leather project of mine! NOT very happy!

I decided to get the stainless spike after the cheaper aluminum one I ordered broke with a lil prying . I’m really happy with it and the three different size needles that came with it . A lil pricy maybe but you get what you pay for ! I also really like the longer taper on this unit over the other one .

The tip is made of way to soft metal. I only use it with paracord but noticed the tip was bent at what looked like a 20 -30 degree angle. So when I proceeded to straighten it with a fine nose pliers I found that it could be bent back and forth with very little pressure. It almost feels soft like solder. Its likely some soft alloy. The rest of the tool is good.

Most of these type tools are anodised aluminium. This certainly keeps the weight down, but nothing nears the feel on stainless steel in the hand. The heft is great to work with. I totally recommend this tool.
