I’m very picky about brow products and have tried so many throughout the years: both drugstore and high-end. I was looking for a less expensive dupe for my favorite clear brow gel: Anastasia Clear Brow Gel. Although I’ve found some that have been excellent for all-day hold (NYX The Brow Glue and got2b styling Spiking Glue), the problem I found was that there would be some visible white residue on my naturally dark black coarse brow hairs by the very end of the day. When I first opened the L’Oréal Unbelieva Brow Longwear Topcoat, I didn’t think it would do what I mistakenly thought it would: provide all day hold for my stubborn brow hairs. You see, it’s a liquid format, rather than the gel I thought it may be (my mistake as I misread the description) but at first try, wear and by the end of the first day, I knew this was my new favorite- even more so than Anastasia Clear Brow Gel. A little goes a long way, it held my brow hairs in place ALL day and even extended the wear time of my brow powder and pencil even with the hot Southern California heat. At the end of the day, not only did my brows look exactly the same as they did when I applied my brow makeup in the early morning but there was absolutely no white residue at all. I love this product and hope the formulation never changes and is a part of the permanent line!
