The surface texture of this piece about the size of a quarter has the lumpy, smooth texture classic of being exposed to high temperatures one would expect from a firey trip through our atmosphere. Holding something from outer space in your hand is really special.

This is clearly glass or resin. I have purchased this mineral in the past from other crystal and rock shops. You can not see light thru moldavite. This does not feel like moldavite to the touch. Nor does it have the energy vibration as my other stones have. I demand a refund. Buyer beware.

Hope this is real for this low price. Beautiful piece of stone. I love to feel the texture of it. Just rubbing it (fits in my thumb - cool) gives me joy. Thax!

If you’re looking to add color to your selection then so be it, but this is not true moldavite. The specimen sent to me is glass. If you do your research you can determine non-synthetic moldavite. I’ve been collecting stones for years and have gone as far as examining them under a microscope. Many sellers will give you fakes. Please do not buy this if you are looking for energy effects from moldavite. I have attached a picture to show the difference.

Moldovite is a very expensive rare tektonite. It is not a crystal but technically a glass and it originates mostly in Czech Republic, poland, austria, and germany. The piece i was given was completely uniform and without imperfections and considering this is a formation made from an asteroid that hit earth, there is no way that is real. Please save your money for a real one. Most moldovite retails for $15 per gram if not more nowadays

The "crystal" looks and feels like colored glass.
