I've been searching for a good sheet set for a couple years now, since Bed Bath and Beyond killed the Wamsutta brand I have been unable to find what I'm looking for. I'm cautiously optimistic that these might be it.I've been looking for sheets that:+ High thread count with a very smooth texture+ Thick/heavy, not so thin that they feel like I'm going to tear them when I stretch the fitted sheet over the mattress+ Durable to survive 3 or 4 years at least (2 sets in rotation, washed weekly, so 1 year is 26 weeks of use and 26 wash cycles)+ Fitted sheet has strong elastic, fits over an oversized mattress and stays tight, and stays strong for the lifetime of the sheet+ Fabric doesn't stretch/pill/fray with washingI had been happy with the Wamsutta Dreamzone 1000 sheets, but they've been off the market for a couple years now and the two sets I have are at the end of their life.After just one wash and the first week of use these seem to fit the bill. The sheets are smooth and comfortable, the fitted sheet is staying put and tight, not trying to pull away from the corner and form itself into a wad in the middle of the bed. We'll see how they do after a dozen or so trips through the use/wash cycle. The sheets are quite heavy - probably double the weight of others I've tried - I was actually surprised how heavy the Amazon box was when I picked it up.My two minor complaints at the moment are:+ There are no little tags on the fitted sheet to indicate long-side vs. short-side. Many other brands sew a little tag somewhere on each side, which is super handy because a Cal-King bed is close enough to square that it's hard to tell just looking at the sheet which side is which. It should be a 50/50 chance to pick right, but my luck causes me to pick wrong about 90% of the time, so the tag would be very helpful.+ I would prefer "envelope" style pillow cases. These are just plain straight pillow cases, and they seem to be 4-6" longer than most others. They fit fine, just a little extra long, maybe there are some King pillows that are longer than mine. After a couple washes the pillowcases do seem to shrink a bit and fit the king pillows more closely.

Can't believe the quality of these for this price. The cotton is nice and thick, doesn't wrinkle after washing, and hold up to daily use.

Best thick and comfortable Hyde Lane 1000 Thread Count Cotton Pillowcases that I had been searching to find for about one year. They match our Cal King size set of sheets and of course, we needed more pillowcases but they were off the market. I also bought ivory since I could not find the taupe color we have. These are truly the best, thick and comfy (no scratchy sateen period of getting soft) sheets and pillowcases I have ever found, however after using them, I see they are very small, more like twin pillowcases and are not really long enough to cover a queen sized pillow. Therefore, I highly recommend the quality, but size up if you want to cover more than a very small pillow.

Soft and comfy. My only complaint is they're a little long for my pillows, but not really a problem. I recommend.

These are irregular sheets. The fitted nor the flat sheet fit the mattress. The flat sheet hangs over 1 inch on each side. I have washed them but I would like to return them. I have bought them before and loved them. So, I ordered another set. The quality control is unexceptionable.

I ordered one set of these, and then sent them back because they were too small for my standard pillows. I got the second set in, and they were the right size at first. The size that is listed. The problem is that they shrunk about 4 inches in length at the first washing, even though I washed them in cool water and dried them without heat, which made them too small again, and I had to send them back. Ultimately, as much as I like the fabric, I ended up sending the sheet set back as well, because I don’t want it without pillowcases that match, and I couldn’t use the king-size ones that came with them. I have a special pillow that I have to use for my injured neck, and it’s a standard size, so all of my pillows on my king size bed have to be the same size.

These are the heaviest material I've ever slept on. They should last a long time. You won't be disappointed, I assure you.
