My 13-year-old niece thought it was really cool. She is interested in Buddhism. This was the perfect gift for her. The flags are sturdy and durable, the colors are bright, and the print is clear. The flags are made in Tibet and come in a stack of 5 strung together and packaged in a plastic bag, very neat and easy to mail or, as I did, put in a carry-on bag for transporting. Each prayer focus is written in English in large letters, such as "Happiness," with a brief example of how to live it. She plans to hang it in her room near an air-flow source as recommended. It's attractive and hopefully will set her mind on spiritual rather than material measures of personal growth.

They are really nice. Love them. They just smell like chemicals. Like badly. If you hang them outside it's not a problem. If you are giving them as a gift. Warn you person.

I like the cotton material, bright colors, and depth of the color. The fact that there is a translation in English is a plus. At last, I know what the prayer says! There aren't many flags on a string and I had to buy three to fit my space, but the flags are larger than most. Yes, they begin to fray almost immediately, but that is the point of prayer flags. They are not printed on both sides, but the printing is high quality and large. They did not smell nearly as bad as some buyers reported, but it may be a problem if they are hung indoors. They are a colorful addition to the yard. They are a bit pricey for so few flags, but that may be due to the cotton material and size. Many flags are polyester, and those become faded pretty quickly.

I have ordered several types of prayer flags for my hilltop lookout spot, and these flags are different from my usual purchases. First of all, they are large, and the strands aren't as long as the smaller ones. I was anticipating this, so ordered two sets. I love that they are woven without bottom seams which allows the wind to shred the flags as they should. (the silky flags have a bottom seam and don't shred right). The colors are rich and beautiful and the sayings delightful . I even quoted the one for Courage in a mixed media art project I am working on.

I went with the highest priced Prayer Flags.. to my disappointment.. they are no different from the 12.00-15.00 dollar flags.. in fact .. supposedly hand made.. they did not obviously care about quality.. fraying edges and sewn very poorly. Sorry I’m not a real fussy person, but these are way overpriced.
