Melissa & Doug Shopping Trolley, Fantasy Game, Playset, 3+, Gift for Boys or Girls

Purchased Oct 2015, Reveiwed Dec 2015 Purchased this for my 5 year old son who loves to go shopping with me :D I did consider buying this some time ago, but I didn't only because I feared it would be a waste of money... now that we have it, I wish I had bought it sooner. My son loves it, and he loves doing the shopping with it too. It definately makes him happier to be more involved in the big monthly shop (or bi-weekly smaller shopping depending where we go lol). Not that my son was a rascal before, but now he is even more well behaved than before and he loves the attention he gets when using it lol. Now some people will buy this only to be used at home... that's great too if you have a lot of space, but we chose not to do this for this trolley as my son used his previous plastic one at home to store things in.. and we have storage boxes for that purpose :) Anyway, this is very well made and very sturdy indeed. Now upon putting it together I first wondered why the trolley basket doesn't extend all the way to the front of the wheels just like on a full suze trolley, but afterwards I found it to be perfect as it leaves enough space for the parent to put your foot down on it to stop it from moving (like a brake). Which is great for making sure your child doesn't run off pushing the trolley all over the place if you don't want them too :D The other thing is the actual size of the basket... now it may look a little small in our eyes, but it's a good size for kids to put things in without it getting to heavy (which would also enable the brakes) and believe me, my son knows how to organise his shopping to put the most in it as possible lol. Oh and one last thing.... the handle bar can easily be unscrewed so that you can put your own label/message/name tag under the plastic cover of the handle (just like they put the stores name on it) which makes it even more personal for your child - Great!! Overall I give this 5 Stars... It will last a long time! Hope that helps and thanks for looking :D

Muy lindo este set para completar el mercado de Melissa and Doug. Las cajas que vienen son ligeramente resistentes pero no dejan de ser cajas, si tienes un niño menor de 3 años, seguramente no durarán mucho.

Ammettiamolo subito: non è economico, anzi, più costoso di ogni altro carrello della spesa giocattolo. Questo però è di metallo come quelli veri, pesa più di 5 kili! Sessanta e più euro per un gioco non sono mai pochi ma vuoi mettere che qui c'è un piccolo pezzo di realtà a misura di bimbo? Melissa & Doug, questi due tizi che hanno creato questo filone di giochi, ci hanno visto lungo! Dovreste vederlo di persona per crederci: lo scomparto che nei carrelli veri serve per i bambini, le ruote girevoli, la struttura a rete e nota di non poco conto, vedi foto, tre piedi di sicurezza che ancorano a terra il carrello se un bimbo ci sale sopra (addirittura c'è una vite a brugola di regolazione - pazzesco!). In effetti, c'è tutto quello che si possa trovare in un vero carrello e, se il supermercato lo consente, potrste mettervi a fare la spesa con un mini-me che vi segue e mette le "sue" cose nel carrello come i genitori?! impagabile e impossibile fino a poco tempo fa, quando di questi giochi non si sapeva neanche l'esistenza. Struttura robustissima, ammortizzato sulle ruote anteriori, alto abbastanza anche per poterlo usare da una bambina di poco più di un anno come "deambulatore" e dalle più grandi come imitazione della vita quotidiana. È perfetto, fatto molto bene.

Arrives almost fully assembled! Very sturdy, heavy duty build but glides just as easily. Don’t waste your money on the $20-$30 carts, they are made of thin metal and bend easily. Wish we would have bought this one originally, will last forever.

Very cute grocery companion kit to go along with the Fresh Mart I got the MultiLINGUAL set.. And there is no difference in the play items - all printed in English. Only the outside packaging of the main box is written in different languages.. Instructions I assume. It was confusing when it says multilingual but actually have zero effect on the actual play items in the packaging for those who are wondering. I wished the fresh mart came with this kit included. The card board box foods are as expected and colourful. I wish they made them out of plastic such as the magazine included. That would make it more durable and last longer. All the items in the grab & go are wood, so that is great and matches many of the other M&D food items. The canned food, I love that is actually fully plastic. I wished all pantry canned items were made of plastic like this so it lasts longer from regular play wear and tear. The apron and shopping bag are okay -, nothing special, so you can find other items to match the unit. Overall, great product. If you don't have the fresh mart unit itself, I would say you are better off creating your own mix and match package to suit your grocery/shopping pretend play needs.
