Have two of these houses now, bought the second for a stray cat. Was impressed with the product for the price. Thick, sturdy plastic and very easy to snap together. Could possibly fit two cuddly cats, but best for just one. Did not add any insulation, just put a heated pad and a blanket and cat seems warm enough.

I have a barn cat who has started hanging closer to home as she's gotten older. She was spending nights on our carport more frequently, so I wanted to make sure she had a safe little shelter right outside our door. I decided to give this house a try. I was happy to see that she took to it almost immediately! We put a crate bed in it for her, and now she stays in it every night, but goes out and does her rounds during the day, so her bowl is stored inside until she comes home for the evening. The house is sturdy, safe and a great size for a cat or small dog. It was priced reasonably, simple to assemble, and it looks nice. I really don't think I could have made a better purchase!

I got this for some stray feral cats to have something warm during the winter months here in the Northeast. I decided to insulate it with some insulated bubble wrap I bought here on Amazon. I just lined the top, bottom and sides and taped it down with duct tape. Additionally, I put a Mylar blanket inside and put a warm fleece blanket on top of that with some straw, as well. I also, flipped the door around by putting the top on backwards, so that there are two exists. That way a cat has an escape route in case another animal goes inside the shelter. I then set it on top of two blocks with a plastic tote lid underneath the house, to keep it off the ground. I did notice that it needed something to cover the door a bit to help keep the wind out. So, I bought some plastic door flaps. I then stuck a heavy rock on top as an added safety measure, to keep the house from blowing over on really windy days. I currently have a couple of feral cats that are now using it to stay out of the elements. I may even get a heated outdoor cat bed to put inside as well. This was super easy to assemble, as there are only two pieces to snap together. It’s attractive and very sturdy. It makes a wonderful cat house shelter. Totally recommend!

I paid $40 for two of these and then got a third one with a $10 off coupon. That was an extremely good deal for such a substantial outdoor pet house. I was surprised at the thickness of the plastic, which I would consider normal for an outdoor pet house, but that’s not usually what’s being sold these days. The top snaps onto the bottom and they can be zip tied together. The top can be reversed to make two small openings, which would be good for a smaller animal like a cat. The inside is smooth, making it easy to clean. One flaw in the design is that a small amount of rain water can seep through where the top part fits into the bottom part. It will accumulate in a groove in bottom the floor, and, this might not be a big issue depending on what type of bedding that you’re using. Because of this, I’m using car cargo mats to cover them. These also provide extra coverage for the openings and give the pet house more weight so it doesn’t move around.

I love this pet house. Easy assembly and no tools. Sturdy with ample room and waterproof. I have purchased two to shelter a few stray cats in the neighborhood. It holds a large quilted blanket with two cats inside. The opening is wide enough to change the blanket and keeps the rain out. No water gets inside. Decent price compared to cat shelters.

I bought the smallest one possible. I have true toy Australian Shepherds. It is the PERFECT size!!!!! This is a quality little “shelter”! It’s easy to assemble. It just pops together! It’s the same ones that tractor supply has!

PERFECT SOLUTION WITH 2 EXITS: My small barnhome arrived just in time for cold-weather shelter for a wild cat I'm feeding. I did have concerns about no back exit and was about to cut one in. THEN I REALIZED THE PERFECT SOLUTION IS TO TURN THE TOP AROUND AND ATTACH THAT WAY! THE CLIPS STILL MATCH UP! NOW YOU HAVE 2 HALF-SIZE OPENINGS--still perfect cat size!! Each opening now is approx 6" x 6". Back one won't have an overhang, but I solved that by draping bubblewrap partly over the exit, by shutting the clips secures it. I can see that the 4 clip joints could leak, and that also is easily solved with 4 pieces of duct tape. As for the insulation factor: it is made of an extremely sturdy compound that seems like rubber with plastic--not sure. So it has some insulating properties. If we go into sub-zero weather I will cut some sheets of rigid polystyrene insulation and attach it inside to sides. bottom and top. Add a blanket and voila! I am extremely happy with this solution for my sad feral cat. She has been satisfied living in a cardboard box covered with a 3 mil black garbage bag. Tonight she will be in nirvana!

Perfect! This small animal house came quickly, well packaged, and easy (SUPER EASY) to assemble! The product is extremely sturdy and MUCH HEAVIER than I expected. I love the natural brown colors, dark brown bottom and light brown top. It is 2 pieces that snap together. No thin little flipping hinges that break easily! This is THICK, HEAVY, STURDY plastic. If fits together as pictured or you can easily turn the top backwards and it still snaps together without any trouble. The price is great. We would be happy to spend more if we knew for sure that it would be used, but we have a unique situation. We have a adopted a sweet feral cat (years ago). He loves us, allows us to pick him up, hold him, carry him around, will sit in our laps, but is terrified to come inside. We worry about him, especially in the cold and wet weather. For now, we have the top off and a blanket inside. He has checked it out a little, but no commitments yet. We will keep encouraging him, and hopefully we will be able to put the top on soon. At least he will have the option of coming in this little house, still outside, to keep him warm and dry. We've tried so many things over the years, so maybe this will be the answer. "

I’m really impressed with this product. It came quickly and was extremely easy to assemble. Nice and sturdy as well. I added some hay and put it outside for our feral cat to use. She really enjoys it! I’m happy she has shelter from the cold now
