Can this be used for women’s head hair? I trying to find a vegan & eco-friendly substitute for boar bristle brush that’s works, lasts & is affordable.

It can be used as a pocket hairbrush. It is quite small, it could fit in a small handbag. But quality and stiffness are excellent for hair.

How do you care for/clean this brush? Can it get wet or handle brushing through styling products?

Hi, thank you for your question. To care for your brush, we recommend the following steps: 1. Use a brush cleaner or a comb and brush out all the hairs and larger dirt that has accumulated in the bristles. 2. Rinse out all loose dirt under running water (do not soak the brush in water). 3. Wash the bristles with a mild soap or shampoo. When done, thoroughly rinse the brush to remove the soap and dirt that has detached from the bristles. 4. Wipe the brush and let it dry over night. 5. Once the brush is dry it is a good idea to oil the wood and the bristles. You can use your beard oil or any food grade oil, if you want a great oil for the wood, one of the best oils is Linseed oil (aka Flax oil). When you oil the wood, you can also oil the bristles and make sure oil gets to the roots of the bristles. In this case you can let the brush dry bristles up.
