Hi, Arielle yes it's does, but my honest opinion, it is not a very good heating cap at all. It does not get hot. If you are looking to invest your money in a great heating cap I would suggest the Mastex Thermal Heat Cap. It is an excellent heating cap, it get really hot and I have had my now for two years. It comes with a warranty also. Hope I helped. Have a fab day.

You do not need to. The cap inside is plastic and a conditioning cap itself.
