NuVein Medical Compression Stockings, 20-30 mmHg Support, Women & Men Thigh Length Hose, Closed Toe, White, Medium

I brought these to the vein procedure to wear post-op. They fit perfectly, stayed up and felt comfortable even wearing for days. I bought them based on calf size 14in, so a medium worked. They can be tricky to get over the ankles, but just pull them up a ways then work up the part left behind and soon they are all the way on without any discomfort. I used these after three different procedures, they didn't stretch out even after washing and drying in the machine. I am 5'7 145 lbs with slim legs and the medium was the right size. Light beige is pretty.

My husband has to wear a stocking on one of his legs due to a blood clot. I got him his first pair last summer (same brand, different style) and they were open toe - perfect for wearing with sandals. When cold weather came, he continued to wear the open-toe style, but with a sock on over it, the open toe slid up toward the heel, causing "strangulation" in the foot. I got this closed toe model for him and all is well again. He has the proper compression in the leg and his foot is comfortable in the closed toe style, and he and his doctor are happy. I think these are nice looking because they're not opaque like many old-fashioned stockings are, but are slightly sheer. Now the weather is getting warmer again, and I've bought him a pair of the closed-toe style in light beige so he can wear them with shorts and tennis shoes. I love that these come in a variety of colors!

READ INSTRUCTIONS else you may end up with pressure sore at front of ankle. If wearing 15-20mm hg previously, tape some gauze at narrowest point of ankle for first few wearings because this means business. Not especially comfortable, but if you need this, then you already know your current discomfort will be greatly reduced, and your mobility improved as well as lessening the chance of pulmonary embolism. But even with simple lymphoedema as I have, the swollen tissue and discomfort goes away fast. On a side note, Someone used a weird delivery service and Amazon was saying it was delayed while I already had it in hand.

I have to wear these permanently. I had been wearing their knee highs. I did’t think I would like them. But they are ok. I’m tall 5’8. I went by the size chart. These are lightweight I bought the 8-15 texture. The lightest support. I bought beige. It looks more natural on your legs. They are easy to get on once you get the hang of sliding your toes in first, then pulling them over your heel and then up your leg. They do slide down a little at the thigh. So make sure you measure your length right. Mine are long enough so a I still have plenty of support. I hand wash them and hang to dry. They do not lose the support after washing. I bought several pairs and one in black to wear with dress slacks.

Once you get them on which is sort of a struggle but not impossible, your legs will feel great you will feel vision invigorated and energized legs like I have never felt. The issue with these for me is when you try to put them on aligning the heel is tricky And they go pretty high up on the thigh and cut off my leg in an area where fat bulges out therefore I cannot wear pants with them or anything besides hanging around the house. If you’re a woman with any sort of meat on your bones this may be an issue for you. I am 5’9 145 LBS Proportionate body I wear sizes 8-10. Ordered a large because I’m new to compression so I figured I’d I would try a bit bigger of stocking. I’d like to order from this company again and get an up to the waist footless pair of these. Having feet on a pair of hose like this is tough to get into them, they don’t breathe that well, and can’t Move around Hardwood without slipping and sliding.

Love these stockings.. Very comfortable and great support. Wear em all day, not too tight on upper thigh..

The length on these stockings is very short. I compared the length for a pair of new (unused) medium NuVein stockings with new (unused) medium Truform 1945BL-M. The NuVein stockings measured FOUR INCHES less in length. I do not have unusually long legs (pant size length on jeans is 31"), so I doubt the medium size will be suitable for most men. NuVein and Truform stockings are supposedly made by the same comany (Surgical Appliance Industries), so it is strange that the medium compression stockings are so different in length.

You want support and durability? This is it. Although I purchased the recommended size my doctor prescribed and all I can say is...it is a work out and will sweat just trying to put compression stockings on, GO ONE SIZE UP! I bought a second pair recently going one size up and it is the best comp stockings I have!!

Me gustó el material de las medias, son gruesas y resistentes el ponerlas es un poco tardado ya que están estrechas pero una vez puestas comprimen muy bien sin que te sientas incomoda o demasiada apretada. Debido a su compresión y calidad de tela volví a comprar otra en diferente color.
