It sprays wet, but dries very fast. The two things I like best about this.First, it works. I’m usually prime meat for insects, I have no clue why, but I used this and for the majority of my birding walk I didn’t get bitten. As the day wore on I guess it wore off or sweat removed it, but after about three hours I had a few takers. It wasn’t nearly as bad as it usually is. Next time I plan to keep it with me to reapply.Second, it has virtually no scent. If I stick my nose right up against it when wet I can barely detect the smell of rubbing alcohol. Once dry, if I sniff it, it has a leafy smell. But I have to put my nose right up to it to smell anything. It’s really faint.Now I can watch the bird eating insects without insects eating me.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do - bugs stay far away. And honestly, maybe that's because they hate the smell as much as I do! But let's be real here - all bug sprays have that same aggressive scent, so I can't really knock points off for something that seems to be an industry standard.Bottom line: If you want to avoid bug bites, it works great. Just maybe don't plan on any close conversations right after applying it!

Great price. Only product that protects me from ticks, fleas and other pests. Be careful around pets, though. I spray away from my little Shorkie and try not to let her breathe the toxic spray at all or lick or touch my skin where I’ve sprayed.

Online info indicates that deet doesn't kill mosquitoes but just offends them and sends them away. My usage of this product indicates that it does, indeed, keep them from biting me. My only downside is that the oil is greasy, so if you are wearing clothing that may soak up and be ruined by oil, maybe you should try some other product. For me, that didn't matter, and it was very effective. I will buy it again when circumstances warrant.

This product works extremely well thanks to the relatively high concentration (25%) of DEET.I was looking for something that would keep mosquitoes off during brief backyard excursions. This definitely works, but for that purpose, I’ve found the more common 7% concentration to be as effective. They’re not joking when they say “deep woods.”The lower strength sprays are easier on my skin and are less pungent. If, however, I were going to be outside for many hours, or actually in the deep woods, this is what I would use.
