Is it suitable for 2 years old?

Yes, unless it's a very large 2 year old. My niece still loves it at 19 months and fits great. I could see it being a bit small as a child approaches 3, especially if they are tall for their age. But it's definitely still something a two year old would enjoy, at least for a few months before they outgrow it.

It's a nice size rocking horse. My son (15 months) is pretty tall and fits well. My daughter who is 5 can also ride on it too. She might be a little big but can still fit.

My grandson is 26 lb would this be too big for him

My grandson was about that weight when I first bought it, and he did fine. ( Took him a bit to learn how to rock it). And kids grow pretty fast. If it's a little big now, it won't be very shortly :-)
