Easy plug&play setup, more than 2x faster
**EDIT 7/29:** Upon connecting the D-Link WiFi 6 Router AX5400 (DIR-X5460-US) to the BGW-320, I'm averaging speeds of 750+mbps down/700mbps up! This is almost 200mbps faster than using this same router (D-Link) with the old BGW-210. Incredible! This router could not be more perfect. The installation was extremely simple, everything just worked a few minutes after I plugged it in. I was able to do everything just like the old one, personalized wifi setup, etc. The range seemed 30-50% higher. I even got good signal behind my above ground pool! With the BGW-210, the signal completely dissappeared. The new router was placed in the exact same place. I'm shocked! The speeds performed next to the router on Wi-Fi using a Samsung Galaxy S10+ were around 650mbps down/550mbps up. Ping was low but stayed mostly the same as last one (7 ms, excellent). The down/up speeds are more than 2x faster than the old BGW-210 (which ran at about 300 mbps down/up on a GOOD day). Amazing! I love it! It's a shame that AT&T has terrible customer support and getting this new router for free to replace the old one is like rolling dice. Don't even count on them to remove your rental equipment cost because they'll simply raise your bill the same amount. Either way, this is no fault of the router and I could not be more happy with it. If range, speed, and ease of use are what you're looking for, this will satisfy all of it.

BGW320 is Fantastic. But Shame on AT&T.
This gateway was very easy to connect. First, I disconnected the Ethernet cable from the ONT port and unplugged the power cord. I then took the new gateway and using the same Ethernet cable connected it to the ONT port of the new gateway and connected its power cord. A green light immediately came on where the power cord plugs in. The white light on the front of the gateway began flashing as updates were downloaded and installed. After a few minutes the white light stop flashing and stayed solid. And that was it. No need to contact AT&T for a technician to come out or to inform them what I did. The download and upload speed tests are averaging around 500 Mb using a AT&T Wi-Fi Extender (model 4971). Both download and upload speeds have been averaging around 500 Mb with the VPN service turned on my iPhone. Overall, I am extremely happy with this gateway. Also the retailer shipped it to me promptly. AT&T deserves to be in the Hall of Shame for neglecting their existing customers needs by failing to provide them with the same equipment given to their new customers. Like the little girl says to the AT&T representative named Lily after she (Lily) hands her a much smaller lollipop compared to the large lollipop Lily gave her brother in the recent AT&T Wireless commercial, “That’s not fair.”

Initial Hick Up But Smooth Now
The seller (NBS) originally sent the wrong item which caused a bit of delay. They did however send out the correct item as soon as they received confirmation that I mailed the wrong item back. The correct modem arrived today and its next to new in appearance despite being sold used. The lack of sfp connector was a bit disappointing but the description clearly stated not all accessories would be present. Connected the modem via the ONT port and it established itself in about 5 minutes. Super easy installation for my situation. The wifi seems very strong and it plays well with my Netgear router. The UI is simple to navigate and much faster than my old Pace Modem. The UI seems robust, but hard to say for sure as this is day 1. I have to give value a 3 star as you can get this modem for "free" through AT&T if you catch the right service rep. Will update this review if I hit any snags, but so far the only reason for 4 stars is the initial missend of the wrong modem.

Incredibly fast!
As you can see from the speedtest, this thing goes very, very fast over wifi. I tested it on my phone (note20) while standing close to it. It is AX, so for those who don't quite understand, it's the next tech after AC. I'm not going to explain 4x4 or triband capabilities. Just know that it was very easy to install. It just took a few minutes to register on the ONT and the ATT network. I did not have to call and deal with their support. Since the only devices that support AX in my house are phones, the PCs, laptops, tablets, TVs, etc., can't benefit from all the speed. They go at their max speeds, respectively. So I got myself a separate mesh to take the load off this router's wireless card and spread the range out towards the front and backyard for the cameras and doorbell.

You need the box for wiring coming from street which was missing from package and other component.
I received this item absent some of the components. The gateway, I assume, works; however, there is no way to know without all the components. In the end decided to use ATT extenders, which I'm still jiggering with.

Unit does what it says... but AT&T won't discount your monthly ISP charges!
Over the past 2+ weeks, I have spent 4+ hours talking to FOUR different AT&T agents. After elevation to the head of their "customer loyalty" group... and citing the details of the new law H.R.5035 banning ISP's from charging for customer-owned equipment (look it up), AT&T's executive response was "We won't charge you the $10/month fee if you own your own equipment, however... we will up your monthly service rate by $10/month if you do." So, if you purchase this equipment... you undoubtedly will fail at reducing your monthly cost. So, buyer-beware. This item can definitely be used as an AT&T gateway, or independently as a wireless router for your network... but if AT&T is going to charge you the same rate even if you own this equipment, then why would you buy your own? Just rent it and you're covered for future headaches...

AT&T Fiber Router/Modem
Super easy to install and setup. Been working flawlessly for over two weeks now. I have my own Netgear router, so I only use this device as a modem. Initially had a problem with my router and this device having the same IP address, which caused issues with the internet and my ability to access the router. Turns out the problem was a setting on the router, it had DHCP server checked for the internal network IP Address. Once I unchecked this setting, no more issues.
