This makes opening all those bills much easier. I insert it on one end of the envelope, moving it so that it gets in line with the edge (you don't want to cut the contents inside!) and then one quick swipe and "Wha-la!" it's open. So much easier on my hands and arms.I also use this to cut coupons and to cut out my name and address from magazines and "junk" mail. There's no need to shred the whole page and this makes it easy to accomplish.

I was very disappointed with this...bought at Dollar General, and the small foot broke on the SECOND envelope! I returned, going to buy a different style.

No matter how I try it, it keeps cutting the contents of my mail. It cuts them nicely, but I just wanted the envelope opened, not a third of my mail sliced off. Now its only use is for cutting large pieces of paper, like gift wrap.After you get a cut started, it works very well, but I bought it partly because it says "envelope opener," and it is unusable for that purpose.

Likes:Very cheap in price. Feels sturdy. Cuts easily and quickly. Nice handle & grip.Dislikes:Harder to line up / start the cut than other letter openers. The cut will not always be a perfectly straight -- and there is a slight flap where the cut is actually made The cut sits slightly below the top of the letter, it will not be at the very edge. If you are not extra careful, it is possible to cut the contents of the envelope with this one. I find the Presto Letter opener to be much easier and better for the reasons above.

This is an absolutely unnecessary thing... but I LOVE it and it is making wrapping presents much, much easier. I will always use one of these; scissors to cut wrapping paper takes longer and is more annoying. Anything to make Christmas-present-wrapping quicker and easier!

Once you start trimming coupons and other things (like luggage tag inserts), you will quickly form a tidy habit that's even kind of fun! It's not as accurate as many other trimmers, but for what you use it for, it really doesn't need to be. After all, you don't have to line things up and measure; instead, you just push the cutter along where you want it to go and that's it. Simple and gets the job done quickly.

It opens envelopes wonderfully.The razor is sharp and cuts well.It is portable and no risk of ever cutting yourself.Plus, it is affordable.
