I was having end of winter blahs, looking around at my boring living room and thinking about what might perk it up. I happened across this boho throw (can't really call it a tapestry, as I think of tapestries as heavier with a woven pattern) while looking at 90" tablecloths and pillow covers. I just fell in love! I looked at all of them, and decided that the multicolor in the large size might be just right for the room. When it arrived, I was a little nervous, as wow! the pattern packs a punch. And it was a bit of a long shot trying it in a room with a pleasing jumble of artwork, colors, patterns, and objects from all over the world (Tibet, China, India, England, Thailand, France, and of course the US). So as much as I liked it, I really wasn't sure if it would work in the room. Yes, it had a bit of a stink factor from the dyes, but I used common sense and caution, washed it in cold water on a gentle, delicate cycle using Tide Free & Gentle, and hung it to dry in the basement. It dried quickly, but I left it down there for 2 days to give it a little more time to air out. Until I finally couldn't stand it any longer and had to give it a test drive. Brought it upstairs, tried it on the 35" diameter lamp table by my front door, and wow! Somehow it pulls the whole room together and looks like it was born on that table. It took me a day or two to get used to the change it made and be sure it was going to work for me, and now I don't know how I stood the room without it. :) The only thing that is not quite right is that I really needed a 90" round tablecloth to fit the table to the floor, and of course this is not. So I ordered a second one and will layer one over the other to get the length I need. I have to admit I was a bit nervous after reading everyone's reviews, and hearing about some of the worst problems they had. I double checked all of the most recent posts and they were overwhelmingly positive, so I decided that the company had resolved the problems and improved their quality controls. I found no problems or flaws of any kind with either of the two throws. I just want to add that there is a little bonus when you use this throw on a round table. The pattern somehow interacts with the folds so that there is almost a pleated look to it that is very appealing! It gives me a blast of joy whenever I walk in the room. WAY more than I bargained for. So I would have to say that it exceeded my expectations on all levels. And just so you know, nobody paid me to give this review, I'm just sharing my honest thoughts and feelings about this product. My experience has just been a really good one.

To maintain the bright colors, this item is heavily died. Out of the wrapper it is starchy and leaves a film on your hands. The tag says cold wash, but I had to do a long warm wash in Woolite and 2 long soak rinses in the tub to get out the starchy stiffness, smell, and funky residue. The water turned dark blue, but the colors remained bright. If I were using this for repeated skin contact like a bed spread, it would need more washing to get 100% of the funk out of it. I do not think that would fade the colors. It is a beautiful tapestry and it is BIG!

I bought 3 different tapestries (this being one of them) and am very pleased with all of them. This tapestry was just as described. The colors were exactly like they look on the computer. The edges were all folded over and sewn neatly. There are some minor imperfections in the pattern and the tapestry is not a perfect square. But this gives it a natural, hand-made look - definitely stands out as NOT a factory-stamped-3,000-identical-made-from-china-item. I used this one to make a curtain in a doorway between two rooms in our basement (no door). I cut it in half, (vertically), finished the cut edges, and hung it on a curtain rod. Because the tapestry is not a perfect rectangle, the distance from the bottom edge of the tapestry to the floor is not equal all the way across. At first I thought this would be a problem, and that I would have to redo the bottom hem to make it straight. However, looking at the mandala pattern and the tapestry as a whole, it really is a bohemian look, and it is definitely hand-made. I decided to embrace the imperfections - as well as save myself a lot of work. I kept it just as is. I love seeing the curtain when I go into the basement now. It makes both rooms seem cosier. I am very pleased. Also, shipping was prompt. I would recommend this seller.

Really like this, well made

This came the day after I ordered it-- one day "early"! It is just what I was hoping for. It is thick, rough-woven heavy sheet-like weight. Bright colors. I've washed it on "cool" and dried it on low, and there is no bleeding and no shrinking. Durable. Priced well. Looks pretty on a bed. I bought it to protect my bed from pet hair. I intended to wash it at least weekly (one of the ONLY ways to keep pet hair in control!) so I didn't want an expensive or a fussy bedspread. This is absolutely perfect for that. It would also make a lovely beach "blanket" to lie on, a wall hanging, a throw-over for the couch or a chair-- I think I'll order another one!

I love this tapestry! It is super bright and vibrant and it just adds a lot of color and warmth to my room. It had a slight smell of paint when I first got it, but I just sprayed it with some Fabreeze and the paint smell disappeared. It is reasonably large too and it takes up almost my entire wall. Make sure you check the dimensions of this tapestry before purchasing so you can figure out if it will be the right size for your wall. Overall, it is very pretty and the price is really great compared to the $100 tapestries that Urban Outfitters sells. I would highly recommend.

it is pretty heavy and kind of hard to hang up. I use tape and it keeps falling off. I’ll try push pins and see if that makes a difference. It looks really good very hard to hang. I think it would be easier on a wall instead of a ceiling.

This is pretty but it's *very* thin.

Der Wandteppich kam früher als gedacht und ist genau wie beschrieben. Das Muster stimmt exakt mit dem Bild überein, die Farben sind sehr kräftig. Da ich ihn an der Wand befestigt habe, ohne in vorher zu waschen, hat er an den Ecken leider etwas auf die Wand abgefärbt. Das ließe sich aber sicher vermeiden, wenn man ihn vorher kurz durchwäscht. Ich würde ihn definitiv wieder kaufen.
