Plant Page ~ No Quarter: Jimmy Page & Robert Review: But I will say that this release points out how difficult it was for them to take themselves seriously as a live act when you he - Long ago, I'd collected some of Mal's(Evans) personal boot-legged out-takes, knowing there was more of same. This collection proves it. The Beatles were so ahead of their time and were so musically accomplished in polished depth that the enlarging audience craves even smidges of that talent today. They had been long overdue in coming out with just an audio CD of Rubber Soul(if they want to imitate the Beach Boys:no)and this is certainly a variation of that notion to make it an original release. I will abstain from commenting upon their 29 tracks here because each is so special. But I will say that this release points out how difficult it was for them to take themselves seriously as a live act when you hear them from the Circus-Krone in Munich take great pains to maintain pitch, yet the excitement of those times is still heady. In closing, the 2 songs that makes this such a unique addition to anyone's collection are: the instrumental "Day Tripper" and the rousing "12-bar original" that speak added volumes to their lasting appeal. A joyous experience to be heard, indeed. Review: New item as advertised - Item still in shrink wrap

It is a good album, but takes a few plays to get ...
Be prepared! This is not a rehash of Zep songs! Some of them are acoustic versions of the old electric pieces and Jimmy Page plays them quite differently (and interestingly), others are orchestrally backed with Page on electric, some are songs that are new, and this version of Kashmir (which is the song that Page himself called the most Zeppelin of all their work) is interwoven with Arabic drumming- very interesting (I would have preferred Tibetan drumming, but...). It is a good album, but takes a few plays to get used to. And Jimmy Page is still amongst the gods!

Long Live the Led...especially after hearing this cd!!
this cd is outstanding. wish i could have been at the live concerts. I got taken up with the songs that I was dancing and singing with them. They have made these songs new again for me. Adding the middle eastern instruments and rhythms have made these songs over the top.I realized how Plants voice is an instrument and how talent run thru both of them and melds into a sound all their own; no duplicates. I love Led Zepplin from day one ages ago ( I am 70 so its been a long loving trip). I would want every Led fan to own this cd; I am that taken with what they have put out on this. LONG LIVE THE LED!!

Page/Plant rework Zep classics plus some new material for “Unledded”
This is the original release in all of its splendid glory! Original track listing, original artwork, original song titles... Far superior to the re-worked version that came out later. (Note: if you purchase this physical CD, Amazon offers an “instant download”, but the instant download is actually of the re-worked version. But, you still get the original shipped to you.) This is NOT a Led Zeppelin album; thus the “Unledded” subtitle. Jimmy Page and Robert Plant totally reimagine some Zep material with the addition of Indian, Arabic and world-music influences. An absolute MUST for the die-hard Zep fanatic, but probably a disappointment to anyone expecting the majesty and power of the original “Hammer if the Gods”.

A great collection of covers of Led Zeppelin songs that I've listened to endlessly over the years and I haven't got sick of any of the songs.
