Works incredibly well
One of our cats has a long coat, and she hates being brushed out. She also gets a belly full of said long coat when she grooms herself then barfs it up all over my house. This doodad really gets the undercoat out and works great on mats. Because it gets out so much coat, I don't have to put her or myself through the stress/trauma of more frequent brushing, and she doesn't barf as many hairballs. Sorry I probably should have given a content warning, apologies to anyone who may he eating while reading this. Anyhoo, well worth the money. Your carpets and floors will appreciate it, too.

No more dreadlocks! Better than Furminator
I was looking for information on how to remove snarls from cat's undercoat before it gets too hot outside. I saw a post that mentioned a tool just like this for about $19. I watched a video of someone using it and thought it might work for me. When I got to Amazon, this product was suggest. It's almost identical and almost half the price. My cat Lilly has a thick, short, silky coat with a thick undercoat. She hates to be brushed, but I bought this for her.I did a few short strokes and it didn't snag at all but it did remove a lot of dead fur. She got up and walked away. Normally, when I brush her she runs away fast.I've tried this on 2 other cats. It removes dead fir I didn't even realize was there. It seems very comforting for them.I've had a Firminator for years, but it seems to aggressive compared to this. It pulls much too hard on thick, dense fur.

Thins out pet hair
Bought this to clean up our Maine Coon cat. It worked very well on her top and sides. Her belly has very fine hair and it was harder to use on that area due to the hair fineness. With the hotter weather my cat is enjoying having her long hair cleaned up.

Wow!!!
This de-shedding brush is beyond anything I was expecting. I have 3 short hair cats, all with different fur (coarse, medium, fine) and this brush worked amazingly on all 3. Their winter coats are slowly coming off and hair is everywhere all over the house. I have a brush already but it does nothing to get their undercoat off. I bought this brush and I seriously can’t believe how much hair it got off my cats. The picture is from one of my cats brushing for 30 minutes. I’ve never gotten this much fur off of any cat I’ve ever had in one sitting. Also, all 3 cats were very happy while being brushed, so despite it looking like a torture device, they all liked it.

Great Tool for Dogs that Shed
I bought this tool for our long hair Dachshund, Bentley. His fur was everywhere where he had been. Before bathing him, my son brushed him and we couldn’t believe the amount of fur that came off him! So anyone looking for a deshedding brush for their pet, I would highly recommend this product.

WHAT IS THIS SOURCERY
It's not very often that I leave a review for items purchased but this has been heavenly. I've had my long haired baby for about 3 years. He's skittish so trips to the groomer are usually a very traumatic experience for him. This brush does the trick! Any knots or matted fur that end up in his under coat are easily combed through with this awesome brush! He actually lays in my lap and let's me comb him too! Totally reccomend.

So good I bought a second
I have a Scottish Terrier with the standard equipment double coat. Regular brushes didn't get the job done. Our groomer had some in stock at about $30. I found this rake on Amazon and bought it for home. It works so well I bought a second for the office and may get a third for the car for when she unexpectedly heads off chasing squirrels.

Doesn't work
Doesn't work on my lynx point siamese, tiger tabby or my who knows what breed cat.. all short/medium hair cats. My other cheap brush (one where you push a button and bristles go in) I got on here worked but not this. My cats shed terribly so I know it's not because they have no hair to brush out. I attached pictures of my cats so you can get an idea of the hair length/thickness/cat breed that it does not work on.
