These bath beans are awesome! You have to use warm/hot water to release the sponge toys, if you use cold water it takes like 1-2 days and the gelatin capsule comes out intact but bigger. I like that there's four different types of animal packs, many of the 4-packs I was seeing on Amazon had four identical packs but I wanted more variety.We use these for standalone activities by putting inside a sealed jar with warm water and shaking periodically. We also let the kid fill the sink and stir with a wooden spoon if she needs some water play time. They also make lovely "bathtivities" and kinda act as a timer so you don't stay in the tub too long.The size of the critters is small, but our kid has never once put one in her mouth (neither has she mouthed the capsules). If your kid (exact age aside) would put these in their mouth, please use under supervision only. We are very careful to call them capsules or bathtivities because we don't want her thinking they are edible pills or beans.The sponge toys are basically disposable toys, a level (or two) down in quality from a fast food kids meal toy. Does that mean that they aren't any fun? No, you can totally still have fun with them, but you will have to use your imagination.I recommend these bath beans.

not just for kids. i take them to lunch and dinners and surprise my friends with these silly little sponges. we have the server bring a warm bowl of water and take turns dropping the capsules and watching our creatures grow. mix them up so you never know what you are going to get. throw them in with gifts as something special and funny for others to share. you would never purchase them for yourself so turn your colleagues back into kids and have fun

These works but are not made well. We have gotten a couple of different brand. The final foam product of these are much smaller and thinner. Most don’t look like the picture they have on the back. Especially the dinosaurs one, we have many of what looked like the same thing but doesn’t even really match any of the picture. If I am getting it again, I would go for a different brand.

I had some of these when I was a kid that were much bigger (like the size of your palm). These are tiny but my nephew still enjoyed them.

I bought these for the kids I nannied for and they absolutely loved them! The process of watching them grow was so fun for them! They were everything we expected and are so cute when they come out of there capsules!!

I saw one pack of them in Daiso and my son loved them. So glad Amazon have them in packs for almost same price so it’s smarter to get it here. It might be too small for lil kids so make sure they don’t swallow or it or something. But my son loves them!

Such a huge disappointment for my toddlers. I bought a pack of these grow animals from our local store and my kids absolutely loved watching them grow and playing with them after. When we ran out I decided to get more but I could not find them anywhere after Easter so I looked here. Everything seemed good and they arrived quickly. Unfortunately these DO NOT meet my expectations they are so tiny compared to the others (see photo of the dino we did vs the spider I got from the local store). My toddlers even said they want it bigger mommy and i was super disappointed because they were expecting more. Save you money and pass on these.

I love these for the price and they also worked inside tiny bath bombs. The grandkids loved it. Tough to find these cheap enough to be worth the cost. The foam is cheaply made but they are not fancy toys. They are toys to fascinate temporarily and then usually end up trashed. Keep that in mind. They are just meant for fun.
