Dime Multi-Tool, Red [30-000417]

Received delivery with excitement and anticipation, only to find the 'cap lifter' metal piece was severly bent! Obviously a factory flaw since the tool was sealed in the protective plastic shell. I used a plier to eventually straighten the metal by force, expecting the metal to snap at any minute (reminiscent of an earlier Gerber whose spring snapped whilst opening the tool!). First hand evidence of Gerber living up to its reputation vis a vis inconsistent quality. The only good thing is its small size, light weight, and the tool set. If they added "good quality" too, then this would have been a perfect mini-tool. Now it is a lingering bad taste, every time I look at it.

I bought one a while ago The knife broke I contacted Amazon and replaced it with a new one Now the second one also broke from simple tasks I'm having doubts if it's a real Gerber Or a Chinese copy

Bought 2 of these as I've been a user of Gerber tools for years, having bought a Gerber Suspension from a US PX (Military store) around 15 or so years ago. Sold bit of kit which has seen many operational tours. Sadly, the Gerber dime does not live up to its history, having dropped the tool from a table at 3ft height, the whole thing fell apart... retaining screws sheard and the component parts came away. Poor quality, even after an accidental drop I'd expectorant from Gerber. Leatherman has always seemed over priced in my view BUT maybe you get what you pay for. Very disappointed in the quality of the build.

Don't waste your money, If you looking for a keychain size Multi-tool pay extra and get Leatherman Squirt PS4 instead. I don't recommend Gerber Dime due: - Weak pliers ( Breaks in the first use ) - Dull knife - Hard to open tools - Heavy weight.

use the pliers once but easily broke. would like to request for replacement

L'ho comprato per regalarlo a mio padre, ma mi è piaciuto al punto che ne ho comprato un altro per me. Piccolo e tascabile. Uso spesso praticamente tutti gli strumenti. Essendo molto piccolo lo porto dietro più facilmente rispetto al victorinox, il quale ha un lama più grande e non è sempre facile giustificarne il possesso di fronte a un eventuale controllo delle forze dell'ordine.

Je l'utilise en EDC dans le pro et le perso. Se range dans la petite poche du jean et facilement dans un veston. Il est pratique, robuste et plutôt complet. Me sert à ouvrir, visser, tirer, couper rapidement. Attention toute fois, la pince est là en appoint mais ne résistera pas à une trop forte pression. Point faible : la garantie à vie vendu par le contructeur, ne s'applique que pour les achats aux US Dommage

Ojo! la navaja es del tamaño de una batería AAA o más pequeña. Para usarse como llavero o como un "peor es nada" funcional a la perfección. Regularmente cargo con una navaja en el cinturón que me es útil en el día a día, pero hay veces que no va el llevar colgando la navaja en el cinto y llegas a ser tan dependiente de una herramienta así que el tener una de estas gerber es lo mejor. Las funciones que tiene son las básicas, lo mejor son las pinzas, creo que son las más útiles, la navaja principal por ser chata no es de mucha utilidad, pero igual ayuda. La herramienta para abrir paquetes también es muy útil.
