Unless you're Bald, Everyone Needs It!
Pro: Long enough to get down sink and bathtub plumbing in a 30 year old apartment building. Depending upon how long and how much long hair has been plugging up drains this job will be quick and easy or long and nasty. I've been in my apartment for 15 years so the first time I did this it was really awful and obviously no one had ever done it prior to my moving in. I wore gloves, a mask, and paper towels to dispose of what came out of it. It wasn't this specific purchase however, it applies to the same style of product though because it's fairly standard to have a handle at one end and lots of sharp teeth all along the orange plastic stick thing. I've never had them break in spite of their sometimes catching on metal. I consider all of them pretty sturdy, and effective with drain clearance. Not for garbage disposers, but on the side that doesn't have a disposer it works fine. I don't wash my hair in the sinks, just the bathtub shower and also use a hair catcher screen to help. I had very long waist length blonde hair 15 years ago. Two years ago, I cut it to shoulder length and hardly any hair removal from this product escaped this time. I recommend these things be used at least once every year. If you or your family have very long hair, it might be needed once a week. Once you determine how often your household requires drain cleaning, it's a lot easier and faster! Con: This specific brand has much sharper needle spikes that made it difficult to get out of the package. Yes, you could use the stick more than once, but I don't! Yucky stuff and the more you pull out of it, the more it will splatter and smell horribly. It's worth the money to start with a clean one for me. Idea: I also use thicker real rubber gloves over thin disposable ones to use this brand due to the sharper needle spikes on it. That solved the problem of getting hurt when pulling one out of the package and using it on the cleaning process. Much safer and more effective than using Drano type chemical products in my opinion.

Works like a charm!
These drain snake tools are super easy to use and incredibly effective at pulling out hair and gunk. My shower was draining slowly, and this fixed it in minutes—no chemicals needed. Appreciate that it comes in a 12-pack so I always have extras. Definitely a must-have!

Easy, cheap, disposals
The clog removers are a great deal. I can use them once, clear out all the gunk in the drain, and then just throw the whole thing out gunk and all. The sharp edges really do a good job of catching everything and the plastic is stiff enough to manner around once inserted but flexible enough to get all the way in and around to where you need it. My wife has long hair and we have 3 big dogs so the amount of hair/fur that gets down the sink and shower drains is significant. I keep a pack of these under each bathroom sink.

Flimsy but effective
I wish they were a little more firm. These are very flimsy why CB makes hair removal and drainage a little tedious and difficult.
