I bought this for my 8-year-old, even though the box is labeled for adults (18+). I was looking for something more "shelf-worthy" than the typical bright primary-colored sets, and the LEGO Botanical Collection really caught my eye. At under $50, the piece count (nearly 900) makes this an incredible value compared to other themed sets. The Build Experience Don't let the adult rating intimidate you if you have a practiced young builder. My son was able to handle 90% of the assembly solo. The Trunk: The "organic" look of the trunk is achieved with some really clever curved pieces. It’s a very satisfying part of the build. The Soil: Instead of a solid base, you pour loose 1x1 round tiles into the pot to act as "pebbles." It’s a unique tactile step, though just a heads-up: if you tip the tree over, you will be hunting for tiny "pebbles" in your carpet! Favorite Features Interchangeable Leaves: It comes with two full sets of foliage—classic green and pink cherry blossoms. Swapping them out is surprisingly fast and easy. The "Frog" Secret: My favorite detail is the pink cherry blossoms; when you look closely, they are actually tiny pink LEGO frogs. It’s a quirky, "very-LEGO" touch that my son thought was hilarious. Final Verdict This is one of the few sets that looks like a legitimate piece of home decor once finished. It’s sturdy, the wood-effect stand is elegant, and it provided about 3 hours of focused building time. For the price, it’s a steal for any LEGO fan, regardless of the age on the box.

I bought the LEGO Botanicals Bonsai Tree and honestly, I loved it. The pieces fit perfectly and the quality is exactly what you’d expect from LEGO. The build was relaxing and enjoyable without being frustrating or overly complicated. Once finished, it looks really nice as decoration. I have it on my desk and it adds a clean, modern touch to the space. I also liked that you can choose between two different leaf styles, which makes it feel more customizable. This is clearly meant as a display piece rather than a toy, and it does that job very well. Great for yourself or as a gift. I’d definitely recommend it.

Lego = quality I cannot imagine having any complaints about legos. I've been a fan of Lego since I can remember. The new botanical options are bringing a lot more people of all ages in. My daughter who is 22 and my niece who's also 22 just love all the different Botanical Lego options. I bought this set as a gift for my niece. She couldn't wait to dig in. This set here will make a good starter set for the botanical begginer or the perfect addition for anyone with a room full of botanical Legos. No missing pieces.

Legos are amazing. Looks great even for decor

I bought this LEGO bonsai tree as an activity for my husband and I to do, because we enjoy putting together LEGOS. A few sections of this LEGO set were a little tough, and I had to backtrack a few times before getting it right, but that is just part of the process, and it was fun. It is a cute design once it is done and all put together. We are adults and we still had fun building it, so it is suitable for a wide range of ages. The size is decent for a mini build; the colors are nice, and it holds together well once it is complete. All the LEGO pieces fit good and did as they were supposed to. We were not missing any pieces in the set. This bonsai tree is great for display once it is put together, especially if you enjoy decorative LEGO sets.
