It took like 5 minutes - Quality is great for the price! Stitching is done well, materials seem very sturdy - The seat is firm. But I am finding that the firm cushion is what’s helping to make my back feel more aligned. - I am a super fidgety sitter and this is AMAZING! All of the crazy positions I would attempt to sit in my old office chair are now fully supported and I am so comfortable! - I am petite (5’3” 115lbs) and this chair is perfect for me. I could understand how this may not work for someone that is heavier or taller. I would love to see this made with an adjustable back rest, or perhaps one that is taller, as well as a larger seat. Unfortunately I don’t see the hubs getting any use out of this (but let’s be real, it’s my chair, not his ;) ) Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase. Will update after a month of work from home use. Review: Good chair, Hard seat - I bought this because usually I sit in kinda a squat anyway in a regular chair. I like it for that, but the seat is too hard for me. After an hour or so, my bottom hurts. In a way it's good because it forces me to get up, but it's just not very comfortable to me. I second what another reviewer said though, good chair for breastfeeding in.

Good chair, Hard seat
I bought this because usually I sit in kinda a squat anyway in a regular chair. I like it for that, but the seat is too hard for me. After an hour or so, my bottom hurts. In a way it's good because it forces me to get up, but it's just not very comfortable to me. I second what another reviewer said though, good chair for breastfeeding in.

Not as great as originally thought (UPDATED)
UPDATE on 19 July 2022, after 18 months of use: It's taken a while, but the flaws have added up and I can no longer recommend this chair. The lack of height adjustment (I have an original where the height adjustment is non-functional) has lead to some chiropractic issues due to ergonomics and the seat is just too firm. The straw that broke the camel's back, literally, is that one of the bolts/screws holding the back cushion to the support stripped out recently - apparently I leaned asymmetrically one too many times on it. It's essentially non-repairable since it stripped the hole AND the connection point is underneath the permanent upholstery. UPDATE on 29 December 2021, after nearly a year of daily use: This chair works great for me and I hold to my original 5-star rating. As another reviewer noted, this is not the chair for everyone. It does not have especially soft cushions, fancy lumbar support, etc. You might say this chair is for the "active" sitter. The short backrest is the perfect height to facilitate stretching and provides just enough support that you don't feel like you're going to fall backwards. The sufficient but not floofy cushioning - plus casters on both the seat and footstool - mean that shifting position is easy. Note that I have the original version, with the apparently non-functional height adjustment, less padding, and no brake on the footstool - so I can't comment on those features. Do note that the material is "polyurethane leather" not real leather; my cats have put some annoying scratches in the material and I've had to put a seat cover over the main seat for prevention. ORIGINAL REVIEW (January 6, 2021): Bottom line up front: really comfortable for cross-legged and other non-standard sitting positions, but the backrest isn't very helpful for folks who sit up straight. I just got the chair today and given how few reviews there are, I wanted to share my initial impressions. Pros: - Well packaged. The outer box was damaged in transit, but everything inside was well protected. - Easy to setup. The roller feet took a little more push than I'm used to putting on anything designed to fit together; don't be afraid to put some oomph into them (after making sure you have them aligned). Otherwise very straightforward. - Perfect difference in height between the seat and the footstool. It's incredibly comfortable to sit cross-legged. - Nice wide footstool. I'm pretty short, so there's a big margin when I sit cross-legged and there's plenty of space to sit is various other non-standard positions (I'm looking you, fellow ADHDers). - Good casters that even work on carpet. I alternate between sitting and standing, so I'm disinclined to lay down a hard plastic floor mat and this chair moves easily anyway. Con: - Backrest leans too far back for me and isn't adjustable. I know I sit more upright than most folks, so it may be fine for others. Sitting normally, I only make contact with the bottom edge of the rest. To make full contact with the backrest I have to lean back more than I normally would, which forces me to slouch a bit (not ideal for long sessions of sitting). I'd prefer a backrest with adjustable angle. Note/clarification: You can adjust the position of the backrest, but not the angle. I'll update with a longer-term review in a few weeks.

Great Chair! Life-Changing
I was looking for a chair that would allow me to site crossed-legged at my desk. Despite all of the information about how you should sit in a chair for ergonomics, I've been sitting that way for decades and finally admitted that it's not a habit I can break. Sitting in this chair now allows me to sit the ways I naturally do without pain and pins and needles in my feet and back from trying to do it in a traditional chair. The chair was very easy to assemble and is frankly really pretty.

Great concept for chair not so functional for petite people
We thought this would be the perfect solution for my daughter with ADHD who has a hard time wiggling in a typical desk chair. She is about 5’ tall and weighs less than 100 lbs. The problem is the seat of the chair is very small and super firm. The stool part can not be lowered- you can only raise the seat in order to get more of a height difference between the 2 sections. However since she is petite raising the seat makes it uncomfortable if she isn’t using the stool. For that reason we will be trying to sell this chair. I wish we could return it but we had to put it together in order to try it out.

I really wanted to love this chair but it's not as described. Very uncomfortable.
This chair has virtually no back support, despite its claims. Also, the seat is EXTREMELY small and uncomfortable. The idea/concept is good, I like having a "thing" to put my legs on. But the chair itself is the most uncomfortable thing I've ever seated on. No kidding. Unless it's designed for kids, I don't see how any adult who isn't extremely skinny could fit on this chair. It's also not comfortable, and it has virtually no back support. My spine ended up twisted every time I sat on it, which obviously is not ideal. I honestly don't know where all the good reviews are coming from. I suspect they may be "paid" reviews, or they got something in exchange. I'm really disappointed on this chair, because I really wanted to love it. But it's useless. Also it's waaaaaaaaay overpriced. I have a $70 office chair that's actually comfortable (not like this). I really don't understand how they could get it so wrong, when the idea is good. Nobody in their right mind would pay even $20 for the chair on its own. And the foot stool definitely is not worth $300. Anyway, I had to return it. Also, a warning for those considering this chair: it's not easy to return this thing. UPS will give you problems (like not knocking/ringing the doorbell when they're supposed to pick it up, and afterwards they try to charge you for returning it when it's supposed to be free). I had to spend TWO HOURS of my time yesterday, calling UPS and Amazon several times in order to schedule a second pickup (because the first guy didn't even knock, he just left the shipping label by the door); they kept blaming each other. And today Amazon charged me $26 for "shipping" (when again, it was supposed to be free). I got my money back only after complaining, and guess what, wasting more of my time. Not happy! And definitely don't recommend (sorry).

Best chair I have ever owned
I am constantly moving around and am uncomfortable in standard desk chairs. I work at a computer for 8 hours a day and have never sad in anything more comfortable. I love all of the different position options that are encompassed into one chair.

So far so good! Not a chair that will please everyone, however.
Just got mine today. Loooooong time for delivery, but that was stated up front and I still got it at the earliest point on the window they provided. Assembly was easy and quick, and everything seems well manufactured so far. The seat, as others have mentioned, isn't terribly comfortable on its own. It's small and very hard (not necessarily a bad thing if you need motivation to move around more, as I do). I added a cushion and that helps. This is not a seat for the big and tall. I'm 5'2" inches and the backrest just hits me in the right place... without my extra cushion. If you are looking for back support, this isn't your chair. I'm a percher, so it works fine for me in that regard. Love the positional options. Be careful if you have a small desk opening - you'll end up banging the footstool into things as you move it if you aren't careful. In short, this is a niche chair - not for everyone, but great if you are looking for the features it has.
