Easy to program with a Genie Pro Opener. Works great.

I have the old style remote for my garage opener and it was an absolute pain. First, the range is iffy, I usually have to press the button 3 or more times back up, pull forward to find that sweet spot where it will open the garage. I'm not kidding, tried replacing the battery, to no avail. That's not even the worse thing, the most annoying issue however, is the rattling this remote makes when you clip it to your sun visor. It's so annoying, I got into the habit of pulling it down and tossing it in the cup holder just to get the rattling to stop. I've even seen YT videos of people disassembling the remote and placing tape against the buttons to stop that annoying rattle. I really didn't want to go to that length, so I started looking for replacements. I was ecstatic when reading the specs revealed this remote was compatible with my opener. It took less than a minute and worked on the first cycle! Not only does this have a nice modern look, bit it doesn't make a sound at all while driving. Buttons are rubbery to the touch and the button press is smooth with no tactile clicking. The star feature is the range, I can literally be 3 or 4 houses down and press the button and my garage immediately opens always on the first press. Great purchase

Very easy to program to your garage door opener. Works well, with good range. Only one small complaint might be that remote buttons are easily (inadvertently) pushed while in your pocket. Could open a garage door without realizing it if you’re around back of the house. Would be a nice upgrade if they had a little protective slide cover for the buttons when you’re not using the remote. Otherwise, very convenient to have remote right on your keychain with you.

Bought a cheap 3rd party remote claiming to work for my Genie opener, and followed the pairing instructions. After banging my head on the wall for a few hours it looked like my Genie opener was displaying a "board fault" error code, so I figured it was broken and I returned the 3rd party remote. A few months went by and these went on sale, I figured I would try it out as a last ditch effort. BOOM it took 10seconds to pair and now I have a fully functioning remote. Great quality and price, highly recommend. TLDR; If you can't get a 3rd party remote to work, there is still hope - Try the more expensive brand-name remote.
