one of the best stories I have read in awhile. Mr. Sinclair did an exceptionality great job of maintaining the reader's interest throughout the entire series of events. The descriptiveness of events, characters, as well as the relentless disparities they had to overcome was exceptionally well composed by the author. I can, without hesitation, recommend this novel to those readers interested in a believable story of the truly respected old west and the difficult times the endured. It was also a great "who dunnit" and the ending, as always, great.

The Mounties always get there man and find away to turn things right for truth and fairness. We will always need people to keep law and order.

A good clean old west book,lots of twists and turns, thrills to end. Recommended if you are an old west novel fan.

Historic novels are not my cup of tea normally. However, this one held my interest because the narrative followed a logical chain of events and concluded with good triumphing over evil.

A well written tales of the old west. The yarn is filled with action and suspense which keeps the reader interested.

In the genre of Zane Grey this was an exciting tale of intrigue along the 49th parallel on the prairies north of Montana involving cowboys, a half-breed Indian, and a contingent of Mounties.

Kept me reading . One of the better Western I have read . Will read more from this excellent author.

I love westerns but find very few of them well written or believable. At first, I thought this was going to be a cut above the average. Then the good guys just kept doing one foolish thing after another and then there was an (SPOILER ALERT) unlikely kidnapping but then miraculously, the good guys wrapped everything up fine in the end against all odds. Sorry, I like for my good guys to show some intelligence.
