Is this the cost for one box with 5 patches? If so, it is way overpriced.

This is a pack of 6 boxes, with 4 patches in each box for a total of 24 patches.

I applied one patch this morning and it was cool for awhile then about 3hrs later it got really warm is that normal?

That sounds about average if you're looking for coolness. it's probably more dependent on how active you are. I try to use mine at night, but anytime, they do a great job.
