Not Going to be on the Menu, But....
I admit I'm a little lost on how to rate this. I want to be fair. The only complaint I had is the same problem you get with any variety mix. Sometimes you don't get enough of each kind, and sometimes the package lacks one of the varieties. The bugs were dehydrated and in that state rather difficult to tell which one they were. I was glad that the legs and heads fell off, which made them easier to eat. The texture was not that bad. It didn't feel like you were eating a bug. The package contained mostly worms. I don't know which one it was--the Sago or Silk worm. Of course, of the ones I tasted, they tasted pretty decent...a mixture of cheddar cheese and wheat germ. The crickets and grasshoppers tasted like cat food to me (and yes, I did try that once as a kid). I was curious, and this satisfied my curiosity. I accomplished one wild and crazy thing on my bucket list--and compared to things like jumping out of an airplane, I guess it was one of the cheaper thrills. Oh, by the way...the package looks smaller than it does in the picture. I feel satisfied with this one accomplishment, so I can go back to being boring again. I doubt bugs will ever be on my menu unless that zombie apocalypse thing happens.

They look like bugs!
This was super fun to try some insects as a party snack. We took it to a friend's and everyone (kids and adults) tried at least one, most of us had 2 or 3. There was plenty to go around as tasters. The bugs are are mostly in tact, some lets were missing, but you could definitely see what they were; eyeballs, legs and all parts. examining them first made the tasting so much worst (better!). The grasshoppers and crickets were grassy tasting, the larva looking things were very bitter, and there was not enough salt to balance the flavor. The novelty was fun and super cringey, but honestly, I think they should have been $5 or $6, not $14. Otherwise, it was a good experience.

Crumbled and disappointing
Product came crushed and crumbled and unidentifiable as bugs. Was for a gift so the poor presentation ruined the fun and we had to throw it away. Non-returnable so it was a waste of money. Too bad!

My Local Pet Store Sells Cheaper and Better Quality Bugs
I understand that this bag is designed to be more of a novelty, sampler experience rather than an actual source of food, but I can’t help but notice that after years of buying insects for a pet reptile, this product leaves something to be desired. First off, at a price of 15 dollars, this is really something I could only ever see ordering once. You can get 50 crickets for about the same price at your neighborhood PetsMart. I understand that it’s an assortment, but that brings me to my second problem: rather than intact bugs, this is mostly a bag full of bits of insect remains. A head of a grasshopper, a leg of a cricket, it’s a mess. Finally, and this is just nitpicking at this point, both variations of crickets come as adults rather than the adolescents you see on the side of the bag. The adults are much darker, have harder shells, and annoying wings, but if you’re in the market for eating bugs I guess this is just par for the course

Good for what it is. Fun novelty.
Can't complain, it is exactly what you're paying for. The silk worms are the tastiest.

Awesomely Gag worthy!
These were awesome! I bought this since for Valentines Day our daughter decided she was going to take chocolate covered crickets to school since a friend wanted them. Since chocolate covered bugs are EXPENSIVE I bought this and had her make her own out of chocolate chips. She almost threw up and took a shower afterwards. It was amazing hearing the sounds that were coming out of the kitchen while she was making them. She ate some and her friends ate some as well. I think that the quantity was good, I didn't really see how much was in the bag since, well it stunk and eating bugs is only on my agenda if my survival depends on it. It is definitely not on my bucket list at all. If you love them, that is cool. I hope that this does not get any pro bug eaters panties upset and twisted.
