This tray is designed for a fairly specific purpose and I think it meets that need well. It is nicely finished. I think it's injection molded, and it has no rough finishes or ugly molding marks. It's size seems to be properly matched to the boards that mount on it. The plastic seems fairly dense and not fragile. You can screw boards down or just leave them floating (probably holding down is better to avoid something being jarred around and shorting out some component or connection. The unit comes with a nice assortment of screws, washers and standoffs for mounting boards to the tray and even a small phillips screwdriver to match. The breadboard unit is nicely done and solidly built. It has the "standard" 0.1" square holes used by most of these DIY kit designers. According to it's spec it accepts 20-29 AWG (0.3-0.8mm dia) wire. It conveniently has a peel-off backing for "sticky mounting" it to the compartment area if you wish, but it's pretty hefty and stays put on its own. The ribbon cables supplied may be easily stripped apart or left as a ribbon. They fit into the breadboard holes beautifully for solid connections. There is a nice little assortment of LED's and they plug nicely into the breadboard holes. The unit also comes with a strip of resistors for pull-ups or current limiting. Unfortunately their leads are notably smaller than the breadboard holes. This means you're going to have to "silver" the ends with solder or crimp them up a bit to get good connections for them into the board circuits. The unit ships in a cardboard box that is sturdy and works fine to keep the elements together while not in use. I this this is a good value, well designed and nicely supplemented. I'd readily recommend this to others wishing to learn and develop their Pi-skills.

The breadboard is crap but that's easy enough to replace. The star of the show here is the plate that holds a Pi and and Arduino so nicely next to each other. I'd recommend buying the version without breadboard and sourcing your own from elsewhere

Fit and finish is excellent. Had one threaded collar with a little bit of molding plastic in the threads, after running a longer bolt through works fine. Take note this unit has mounting posts for RasPi 1-3 AND Zero as well as UNO and Mega. Keeps your wires from pulling out, makes it easy to "park" a project to work on later and protects from scratching your desk with pins on underside of boards. The extra breadboard, jumpers etc practically free in this package.

This is great in that it keeps your projects well organized on one board and can work with multiple board types. It would be nice if there were additional screw holes on the Raspberry Pi side that lined up with an Arduino Uno so you had the option of two Unos or an Uno and a Mega.
