Alfred's Basic Piano Library: Recital Book, Level 1A

This is one of the most popular piano lessons books for beginners. I understand some e books come with a CD tape in the back and some does not. If you don’t have the CD it’s OK, you can go to Google and type this song in that you want to hear Example “silent night piano by Alfred.”

Great book for teaching piano

It's a good book, but I really wish it wouldn't put ANY fingering on the notes, because students invariably "marry" those fingers to those notes and by the time the fingering changes, it's too late -- the student has already "married" RH finger 3 to E . When I have the student get this book, the first thing I do is hand white-out to my student and say, "please white out all finger numbers, because I'm going to have you learn each piece with 2 or 3 different fingerings.

This whole series is fantastic! I've been playing flute and guitar since I was eight, and have recently wanted to get my whole family excited about the piano. I did a lot of research to find books that would cover all aspects of learning (Theory, Technic, recital pieces, etc.) and Alfred's piano library has it all. It introduces all the necessary elements of music, while making it fun and easy to learn. For children, I would recommend getting at least the Lesson, Recital, Theory, and Technic books for each level. For adults or those with some prior music knowledge, I'd recommend Alfred's All-In-One Piano Course. Great series!

Book arrived quickly and in great shape.

My daughter is exploding with the step-by-step approach of Alfred's instruction books. The graphics are fun for a 1st grader. The concepts are well thought-out. The lessons allow for gradual, yet excellent progression in learning music theory and piano skills.

10/10 daughters piano teacher requested we purchased this Easy to follow. I bought two as her friend from school needed one. Must be part of the piano curriculum.

I had to buy this book for my 6 y/o daughter who started playing piano. She had never touched piano before but with the help of her teacher and well featured lessons provided in this book she was able to step up very soon and now she is almost done with the second book.
