Q: What is the difference between the L2 and S2 options other than the (up to right) angle options on the L2?

The S is Straight and the L is L-shaped. Your wording of the question suggests you may think the L2 gives you an option of straight or 90 degrees, but that is not the case; it is fixed in the L-shape. I find it easier to apply a bit of force to seat the chuck with the L2 shape, but to be honest, it seats with so little pressure that the straight would probably be fine. There might be places where access requires a straight-in approach, but probably not on any car wheel I've seen. Maybe reading the reviews of the S2 would reveal reasons for the straight chuck.

Dude, this seller is sitting on the patent but won't build the proper double end air chuck we're familiar with. He's too busy tinkering with locking mechanisms but not reinventing, therefore it's completely useless in function. Go fish!
