Barefooters Classic Slip-On Shoe

This is my fifth pair of these Barefooters. Bought this pair in red here at Amazon. Already had the other four pair for a few weeks from hsn.com. Got those in midnight blue, sky blue, natural cork and black. Got the black first because there was VERY limited availability in my size (42), and because of their clearance pricing of only $39.95 with the additional option of 2 flex-pays at $19.98. A DEFINITE DEAL!Anyway, after receiving the first pair, in black, they were heavy taking them out of the box, but REALLY LIGHT on my feet. Now tthe initial try-on was a bit strange. Could feel the massaging insole nubs, and it felt a bit strange at first, not totally comfortable. BUT, after wearing them outside for the first time for a few hours the comfort was extraordinary. Literally like walking barefoot, but better because of the support underneath. As a result I went back and ordered the only remaining colors available for my size. They've become my favorite "everyday" shoe. I really wanted some more "girlie" colors but none left in my size. Then I saw the red left available here on Amazon, and I grabbed it even though it was at the full retail price.Wanted it in at least one bright color.I just got the red delivered yesterday, but have worn the others most days during the past two weeks. I have problem feet, but not in these. They're appropriately named,"Barefooters", exactly how it feels wearing them. Do yourself a favor and give them a try. Walk around the house at first to get used to them and before you know it, you'll be in love.

I just ordered several shoe styles, looking to replace my old house shoes with a new, orthotic-friendly pair. These did not win, and I am sending them back.That said, I really liked the feeling of how these shoes hugged my foot. Two years ago, I think these would've become my new favorite shoes. I used to wear Birkenstocks around the house and found them very comfortable. Since then, I've had a broken bone that makes it important for me to wear custom orthotics in well-cushioned shoes. These shoes, like my Birks, are just not soft (squishy) enough to cushion my mended-but-oddly-shaped foot bone.These are much more streamlined looking on the foot than most comfort shoes I've tried. I am very tender at the top of my foot, above the arch, and it is awesome how these are simply open there while still being firmly connected all around the foot. They don't flop around like a mule or flip-flop would.If you want a well-shaped, supportive, but FIRM SOLED shoe, these are well worth a try. I really wanted to keep them, but they aren't the best choice for my feet now.

The shoe fits great and is very comfortable, however..... they are broken after less than two months. The bottom of the ball of the feet have worn holes through the outer layer and now are wearing on the inside pad. Also, the are several cracks in the rest of the shell of the shoe. This is with just normal wear of walking only 20 to 30 min a day. This is very disappointing to happen so quickly. I would expect this poor quality of shoes that you pay $20 or so at your local retailer, not a premium price of $80.Of course the shoes lasted just long enough to not be returnable via Amazon. I've contacted Barefooters direct with my concern about their product and received absolutely no communication.For your sake, please do not make the same mistake as I did with this purchase.

So happy to have found these shoes. I'm a massage therapist and spend quite a bit of my day standing. My feet have been hurting so bad lately, the pain would wake me up throughout the night. After wearing them for about a week, my feet no longer hurt. Yay!! They aren't what I would normally choose aesthetically, but I will take function over fashion if it means no pain. I ordered 1 size larger as the other reviews suggested, and they fit comfortably with the thick, no show cotton socks I wear with them. I will definitely be ordering an additional pair.

I bought a pair in my size and they were way too tight. They then sent me the next full size larger and they were still to tight across the top of my foot (the length was too long with this larger size). I was really excited to try these, but alas they aren't for me.

These shoes are like walking barefooted, because you can feel everything you step on. I was walking in a creek where you could not see the bottom and felt every rock, stick and drink can I stepped on. Fortunately I did not step on any glass. I'm not sure if the glass would have gone through the shoe or not. The material these shoes are make of is pretty stable. If you do not have to stand all day, they are very comfortable, but these shoes do not have any support.

Had a pair of these years ago, lived them but they were a bit small AND cost $99.00 @ pair! I found these shoes on Amazon for $19.99, and after my rebates, bought 2 pair for a total charge of $8.00! These shoes are awesome: easy on/off, very comfy, never need maintenance. When they look scruffy I just throw them into the sink and scrub them off with a stiff brush. When dry, they’re like new! Highly recommend these shoes!

Love these shoes. I'm on my feet all day as a physician and so have two pair. I wish the 'white' color was actually white; it's more of a light gray/oyster. And the 'black' is really graphite gray. They are substantial weight.. not a dinky shoe. However, the top will eventually crack, so they aren't indestructible. And not overly warm or for walking in the rain because of the holes. What they are is COMFORTABLE, and that's what I needed and got.
