Hammer Stahl X50CrMoV15 Forged German Steel 10" Chef Knife with Quad-Tang Pakkawood Handle

This would be good for someone with very small hands. The handle is smaller than my other knives. It is very pretty, and even though a bit small, it works well.

Bought the 6-inch chef's knife. I love this size, as I have smaller hands...its easy to work with. And beautiful (who doesn't love a beautiful knife?!) And the price...$30! I would give it 4.5 stars. Rounding down to 4 stars because it is now assembled in China. One of the rivets on the handle was not quite flush; luckily not one where my hand will be holding it during cutting. It is the only imperfection; but I don't know of a way to smooth it, without ruining the wood handle's finish. Just feel like this reduction in workmanship must have to do with assembly being done in China :-(

The first knife arrived with all four pins on the handle sticking out. Sharp and dangerous so I requested an exchange. second knife came with the same problem of pins sticking above the gripping surface of the handle also making it dangerous to use. On the second knife, the finish of the blade was poor quality, rough and not polished. This knife was to be a gift for my wife and I'm very disappointed with the knife and my gift to her.
