Takes time to dry with oil paints, which is what I had wanted, don’t get this if you expect a fast drying oil like turpentine, also there is a significant amount of odor from the oil, but not as bad as other oils

I have using oil paints for many years, but this is the first time I have bought linseed oil to use with oil paints. I look forward to using it.

When this arrived, I thought I had received the wrong thing, as I use water-soluble oil paint, and the bottle only identified it as a turpentine substitute for oil paints, without mentioning anything about it being water-based. I was going to send it back, except that I had already thrown out the box. But I went back to double-check my order, and look more closely at the picture of the item, and they did seem identical, so I figured the best way to be sure was to try it out. And it worked beautifully to thin and blend my colors - it even made a white paint which had, for some reason, refused to blend properly in the past, decide to cooperate. I love that it's a larger bottle than any of the other water-soluble oil thinning mediums I have use in the past, so it should last for a while. I have not had the chance to try it for actually painting yet, so we'll see how it acts as far as drying time and such, but if it works as well as it did for my little trial doodle, I may have found a new go-to!

I'm new at oil painting, and this is the first oil I bought because it's relatively small so if I didn't like it it wouldn't be much of a waste, but I love it! Works well, and I now have a big appreciation for oil painting, and a little goes a long way with it
