Maxim Sensitive Clinical Strength Antiperspirant & Deodorant

Oh my goodness this stuff WORKS!! For anyone considering- here was how I used it: First night - I rinsed stuff in the shower before bed and dried my under arms thoroughly. I waited about 10 minutes after the shower to make sure that my skin was completely dry. I rolled on a few swipes and waited for it to dry and then put my pajamas on. I noticed a bit of an itchy sensation like a lot of other reviews, but it wasn’t terrible. I was able to fall asleep. In the morning, I didn’t wash anything off - there was no smell- but I did apply a light layer of antiperspirant deodorant. The second night I repeated my first night steps - shower, dry off, air dry, apply product, pajamas. The second night there was more itching. I waited about 15 minutes and then the itching was a little more than I could stand so I decided to put on a very very light amount of Cerave eczema relief lotion. That seemed to calm the itching and I was able to fall asleep. I repeated the same steps for the third night. By the morning of the fourth day, there was absolutely zero witness going on on my underarms!! I am honestly in a little bit of shock - I am not someone who sweats heavily, but for some reason, I always have a little bit of damp in my under arms. It’s so uncomfortable and it’s likely because I have my arms by my sides most of the day working at a computer - but I really can’t stand it and I was very self-conscious about it. Now I simply do the routine every other night and there really is little to no itching! I was reading that it’s not necessary or even wise to use it every single night unless you are an extremely heavy sweater- and every other night seems to be working just fine for me! I also used the sensitive skin one because my skin does tend to react a little more strongly to new topical treatment treatments. I am truly so impressed and thrilled that this worked as well as it did!

I have been struggling with sweating since 7th grade. It was so embarassing, and I tried everything to stop it. Nothing worked. I was about to give up until a found this, and I was shocked. Yes, it burns but it only burned the first few days. The first night I was still sweating but the next day I realized I was completely dry. It doesn’t smell, it dries quickly, and it is easy to apply. It is definitely worth the money, but keep in mind it may not work for everyone.

I started to notice my underarm area would get very wet by the age of 17. This would come and go mainly because of anxiety issues. I've been embarrassed and would wear extra layers of clothing to cover up, which sometimes I would sweat through the layers too. I"m now 28 and was looking into getting Botox injected. Good thing I researched online before going for painful Botox because I found this wonderful alternative! I was skeptical because I never saw Maxim in retail stores. In fact I was buying Secret Clinical Protection which didn't stop me from sweating. I couldn't wait for this product to arrive because of all the positive reviews. You apply this like the Secret Clinical protection at night before you go to bed. However Maxim actually works unlike Secret. Anyways, you roll on about two swipes and let it dry. It started to make my arm pits itch a lot! However after letting it dry I rubbed on some lotion and that helped. It says in the package to buy the sensitive Maxim if you feel irritation. After the 3rd day the itchiness went away and I'd rather deal with that than wet underarms. The next day I did my morning ritual of taking a shower, put on my Secret Clinical (you still have to wear a deodorant so you don't smell. Maxim just stops the wetness) and went to work. I was nervous to see how this would work. At noon I felt like my armpits should be wet so I stopped at the bathroom to check. No wetness and my underarms were bone dry! I was so happy because now I can wear whatever I want! I've been using this product for a month and I have yet to have any wetness and the product seems to last long. You can also skip about 2 days, I never went longer than 2 days to see how long it would take for the wetness to come back. I did notice my underarms get a little itchy if I put Maxim on after 2 days of not wearing it. The itchiness goes away if you wear it every day. I also wax my arm pits and I have no problem with the formula hurting my underarms. Now I"m a customer for life! No more expensive Secret Clinical Protection, now I can buy whatever cheap deodorant I want! This is a wonderful product and I wished I had it when I was 17!

Little itchy

I've had this product for a week and it works really good! Id give it 5 stars but the only problem was that it gave me a rash the size of a quarter on my armpit. And I thought that was weird since I don't have sensitive skin. I used it in the morning instead of before bed but the first day I used it, it didn't burn as much as people said it would. But the second day using it is when I started to feel it more. And the third day is when I noticed the rash. It definitely stops the sweating about 97% and I guess if you keep using it, it'll be 100% gone. However it doesn't stop odor completely so you will have to use deodorant with it. I'll be taking a break from using it until the rash goes away but overall I'm happy with the product.

I bought this hoping it would be a replacement for my prescription antiperspirant b/c I was tired of going to get the Rx filled and/or having my local drugstore say they needed to order the solution to make it, etc. I've been using Maxim for 4 days as directed (only put it on at night before bed) and it simply doesn't work. I stepped outside a couple nights ago, must of been 80 degrees outside, and called a friend while I was outside. At first I didn't notice, but like 30 mins into the conversation I felt my pits were soggy wet! At that point I'd been using Maxim for 2 days but I was highly disappointed. To be fair I thought I'd give it a couple more days. Well it's day 4 and I just came inside from taking a leisurely walk WHILE DRINKING COLD WATER and my underarms still perspired. When I used Rx antiperspirant, it successfully stopped excessive underarm sweating at least 1/2 the time, but this Maxim stuff didn't work at all. I'll tell you what Maxim DID DO- irritated my underarms at night ("pins and needles", itchy sensation), then made them inflamed and feel raw and floor burned during the day. Granted, Rx antiperspirants can cause the same irritation, but you know what? At least they work! Can't say the same for Maxim. I'm pretty sure that if it hasn't reduced/stopped my sweating by now, it never will. I'm going to return it. ****UPDATE**** Returned product with box and invoice to get the "guaranteed" refund if the product doesn't work. I returned it a month ago and still haven't received a refund. Not good business. Do not advertise a "money back guaranteed" policy on the product box if you aren't going to honor it! Buyer beware.

I spent about $50 in searching for the right deodorant/anti-antiperspirant for me. I swear very much easily and this can be quite embarrassing and cause great discomfort. I then ended up spending around 2 months buying and applying various brands. None of them worked and a couple ended up staining the armpit area of some of my favorite shirts. I was losing time, patience, hope. money, and good clothes. Eventually I stumbled upon this and gave it a try even though it seemed like an excessive price for so few ounces. However, this product has become my favorite and earned my respect/money. I don't sweat anymore, and it takes a hard workout at the gym for me to sweat from my pits. And this is from the guy who would just sweat from 5 minutes of wearing a shirt just sitting down! I apply usually apply it before going to bed, right after a bath. This seems the optimal way of increasing the products efficiency. Although, I don't always do this anymore and it still works. One time I shaved my armpits and applied the product regardless.. It wasn't smart and caused much irritation and itchiness. It made sleeping intolerable but this was my own fault for the product actually warned otherwise. It also seems to work for 2 and half-ish days after use and one bottle lasts me about a 3-4 months. So I do end up saving money. Also, just so you guys know, I'm 20 years old. I lift weights 2-3 times a week and currently weight 192 lb at 6 feet of height. I'm just mentioning this so you don't think I'm overweight and that that's a result of the excessive armpit sweating. Also I've been using this for almost 2 years now. IN CONCLUSION *Product LASTS! *Incredible antiperspirant! *Price is fair due to the fact that it lasts so long ( at least for me; 3 months) *No stench (nor pretty fragrances either however)

My Background: I've been dealing with excessive underarm sweating since middle school. That's when the pit-stains became obvious and unbearable. My problem has always been even if it's the middle of winter -30 below, my pits are still sweating. I can be in a comfortable air conditioned room, watching my favorite movie, alone, under no pressure, and my armpits are still drip, drip, dripping. In high school and college I was pretty much limited to wearing white or black/navy blue shirts to hide the wetness. It never affected my social life until I started dating girls. The anxiety from potential embarrassment was at times overwhelming. Additionally I was a collegiate swimmer which relegated me to spending a significant portion of my time in warm and humid pool areas. I can recall leading stretches for our team one day and remember their facial reactions to the massive pit-stains under my arms. Today, working in an office environment and having to wear dress shirts that don't hide any wetness, I decided it was time to start treating this condition. Maxim: I actually purchased a bottle of this stuff back in college '06 and expected it to be a miracle drug. You simply can't expect this stuff to work on contact. It must be applied the night before. I used it for a couple days and then it went into a box...until this RIDICULOUSLY HOT summer. I was desperate for anything. I pulled it back out thinking it was worth a shot. Guess what? It totally worked! I'm sure results will vary for everyone. I've had the most success applying it the night before. Generally one application lasts me about 2-3 days before the floodgates open up again. Applying it every day kind of made my skin raw, so you'll have to see what works for you. DON'T GET DISCOURAGED! You will still sweat when you use this stuff. Just that it will be like a 'normal' person. When it's 100 degrees out, you will sweat. Sometimes it feels like I'm sweating a ton, and my skin is wet to the touch, but guess what? No pit-stains. I can live with that. So, I think I'm a customer for life. I hope you'll at least all give this a shot. My current(new) bottle has lasted about 2.5 months. $5/mo. for piece of mind is totally worth it for me. Cheers!
