How can you claim to have no artificial junk, when maltodextrin and "natural and artificial flavors" are listed on the label?

Good question!There is less than 1 gram of malto per 20-gram serving to cut the bitterness of the amino acids and to help with clumping. Regarding the flavoring, natural flavoring means just that--not MSG (which wouldn't make sense in a product like this anyway). Before launching the line, I did quite a bit of research on artificial flavoring and couldn't find any valid, science-based reason to avoid it completely (not a single clinical indication of negative interactions in the body). Artificial sweeteners, on the other hand, are another story--there's a growing body of evidence that regular consumption can indeed harm our health. All that said, I'm actually working on switching it to 100% natural flavoring just because. :) It just takes a bit more time with this product because masking the bitterness of the aminos WITHOUT artificial sweetener or tons of malto is tough.Hope this helps!MikeFounder of LEGION

I found huge clumps of the powder lumped together (not while mixing in water) in the tub. Tried shaking tub, no luck. Whats up?

How does it compare to C4?

C4 is for beginners. It's weakly dosed and overall just an average product for anybody who's been lifting for a while and/or been ingesting caffeinated products quite frequently. I used it to start out and it quickly (maybe a month at most) became obsolete to the point I'd have to take perhaps 4 scoops to feel anything, and by then I knew I needed something stronger because you shouldn't ever need 4 scoops of any pre-workout. I haven't used Pulse yet, but just looking at the ingredients, I can tell you it'll be a helluva lot more effective than the basic C4 or C450x (or whatever they call it now).
