Very useful and fun tool and at a good price.
It works as described. Kind of fun to play with as well as being a useful tool. Everyone should have something like this around the house or in their tool box. No telling when your going to drop something that rolls under furniture, falls down into a small space, down a drain or other hard to reach place. You know it is going to happen, so be prepared with one of these. The company responded very quickly to a question about attaching the hook to the camera. They have been very helpful. They are coming out with a model with the camera mounted on a stiff wire that will hold whatever shape you desire. I'll be ordering one of those too. Also plan to get a couple of these as gifts for my son and for a friend. I think my 8 year old grandson will have fun playing with this. Can't wait to see what he dreams up to do with it.

Decent camera for the price.
Received the device today. Had some trouble finding the right app for the Andoid phone but it worked right out of the box with my PC using the Windows software for generic USB cameras. In decent lighting, the camera worked quite well, albeit the image is slow to adjust and it would not work well as a motion or video camera to capture moving subjects. It takes about 1 to 2 seconds or so to focus and capture an image. But at a distance of say 2 to 5 inches it picks up pretty good details and the color rendition is also quite good. At further distances from the subject the details are fuzzy but recognizable. I can't fault the quality of the camera that costs less than 16.00 USD. My intended use is to look behind my automobile dash in order to customize a stereo receiver installation. I'm also rebuilding an engine and transmission where this camera will save me a lot of time and expense. I plan to pull electric cable through the walls of my home so here is another application for this camera. Overall, I'm pleased with this camera. If it fails after I have finished these projects, I consider it worth every penny.

Unbelievably good value !!
Bought this so that I can look behind wallboard by drilling a small hole, rather than a large one. It's just arrived, so I can't comment on its durability. If it does prove to be unreliable, I'll update this review. That said - I paid a shade over $12 for this (it was on a "flash sale" and it is unbelievably good value. Prior to its arrival, I installed (from the Google Play store) the Android app CameraFi on my phone (rooted Nexus 6, running Android "nougat" v7.1.1). Note that the CameraFi Play store page said that the app didn't work with Nougat, but I took a chance. For me, at least, it works perfectly. When the endoscope arrived, I plugged it into my phone. Immediately, the LEDs turned on. Their brightness can be easily adjusted using the little turn-wheel on the cable. Within a second or two, my phone recognized that a USB device had been plugged in, and CameraFi automatically opened, asking me if I wanted to use CameraFi every time this device was plugged in. I said yes. Within a couple more seconds, the image appeared on my phone. When you're using it to look at an object that is well-defined (say, text on a page) the image is very sharp, and it remains sharp as you move the camera closer - I can move it to within about 3 cm, and it's still very sharp. For less well-defined subjects, the image isn't always so sharp, I think because it's trying to auto-focus, and is having a hard time deciding what to focus on. Example - I tried to look inside my ear (yuck) and it was a bit blurred. Tried looking inside a slightly-opened drawer (to see how it'd do in a dark space) - slid it all the way to the back (where it was dark), and the images were excellent. It comes with a separate short USB adapter cable, in case you want to plug it into a "regular" USB port (say, on a laptop). It also includes 3 attachments. (1) Screw-on side-view mirror - it screws on, very securely, to a thread that's at the front of the camera. (2) A hook & (3) a magnet, both of which are on ~2 inch long metal stems. At the other end of the stem there is a small "tip" that's bent at right angles to the rest of the stem. You slip the tip into a small hole at the "back end" of the camera, then slide a plastic ring on, to keep the stem securely on the camera. However, I suspect that it might be easy, when you're poking the camera in a dark confined space, to get the plastic ring caught on an edge, and if it slid loose then the metal part would probably fall off. So, if I ever use the hook or the magnet, I think I'll secure the plastic ring clip with a bit of tape. All in all, I am VERY impressed, especially at this price point.

Fair quality closeup image for a cheap camera
If you're expecting HD closeups then you're in for a rude awakening but if you just want to grab a peek and you're ok with a fair quality image then this will work fine. I needed to look into a motorcycle engine (650cc) to see why the engine was frozen and I was able to see the rust build up inside the cylinder. The two issues I found annoying was having to spin the camera around to keep the image recognizable (because you can't tell which side is up) and moving the camera back and forth trying to gain focus. This is camera is no good any closer than roughly 2". So basically, you get a half decent picture for under 20 bucks.

Endoscope OTG camera
Works well. Downloaded software from GooglePlay onto by Android Pad. I was able to see on screen and even record photos and video of camera's findings. The 7 mm camera head is as small as a screw head and can fit into very small openings. The LED lights are very bright. Camera picks up with very good focus within 2 inches to as far as a foot from object. I was able to find a very small piece of plastic that fell into my filler tube, then used a vacuum (rather than the camera attachments) to remove. The magnet would have worked on metal. Distributor was quick and package arrived early. All in all, very please with entire experience. Saved me over $100 in a service call at a auto repair shop.
