This was the 3rd cartridge I purchased for my printer. The 1st one (not an HP) did not have a chip and no directions on how to make it work. The 2nd one (not an HP) had a chip and still did not work. I bought #1 &2 because they were considerably less expensive. But, after all the hassle and frustration with the first two I bought the HP. BEST IDEA!! It was so EASY to install. Take it out of the package, take out the old cartridge, and put this one in! That's it! No parts to remove, no plastic to pull out, nothing! Just take it out of the container, remove old printer cartridge, slide this one in. I'll buy HP from now on. Its worth the money to not have all the hassle and frustration.
